2026 CKF Cape Town Marathon

Aspen, CO
The Chris Klug Foundation is proud to be a charity partner for the 2026 Cape Town Marathon as it bids to become an Abbott World Major Marathon.  This year, five individuals will have the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for our mission to eliminate the wait for a transplant. We work across the United States, educating and inspiring individuals to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors. Alongside this, we work to show the world what is made possible due to the gift of life through giving recipients, donors, and supporters a platform to make the impossible possible post-transplant. The foundation was started in 2003 by an Olympic Bronze Medalist after a liver transplant saved his life. Chris received his transplant in 2000 thanks to the courageous decision made by the donor and their family. Two years later, Chris honored them by becoming the first and only solid organ transplant recipient to not only compete at the Olympics but also win a medal in snowboarding. His donor fami

Love Hard 5k Fun Run

Denver, CO
The Love Hard 5k Fun Run is an annual run for a cause fundraising event for the UnbridledACTS community, Love Hard, as they come alongside families in their time of grief. In September 2017, the Kamins family experienced the sudden passing of their son, brother and grandson, Cash, at just two years old. While grieving, the Kamins family held onto the knowledge that Cash knew how much he was loved—the Kamins family loves hard. To honor Cash’s vibrant spirit, Love Hard was born to raise money for other families who experience a similar sudden and unexpected loss. The goal is to provide short and long-term community through financial assistance and retreats that facilitate healing to families as they navigate their unique grieving process. In honor of Cash’s birthday, Love Hard hosts this virtual & in-person 5k Fun Run to spread love. All funds raised will support families walking through grief.
