Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages to join us for a morning of fitness, friendship, and FUN at this year's Run For Kids' Sake Run/Walk 5K! Arrive early for the Kids & Family Monster Mash Mad Dash half mile race at 9am, followed by the timed 5K run/walk at 9:30am at the John A. Antoline Memorial Park in Monaca. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome, and medals will be awarded to the Top three 5K finishers in each age group. Day-of registration will open at 8am. Register by October 2 to receive a Run For Kids' Sake 5K shirt! Money raised during the Run For Kids' Sake 5K will help fund general BBBS operations, including volunteer recruitment, extensive training and match support, programming, and outreach to families and school districts. The Hershey Rotary Club is hosting its annual Run/Walk on Saturday, October 24 at the Milton Hershey School campus. The Hershey Rotary Club hosts the in-person Run/Walk as well as a virtual race option to support Cocoa Packs which provides supplemental food and other support to local children in need to enhance their overall wellness. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised will go to support Cocoa Packs. The in-person Run/Walk 5K will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Henry Hershey Field, 635 Brook Drive, Hershey, PA. The route goes through the beautiful Milton Hershey School Campus giving participants a view of the gardens, gazebos and Founder’s Hall. The event is pet and stroller friendly. Held on the flat and fast Struble Trail, this race is in support of Covenant Mercies, a local nonprofit organization that helps orphaned children rise above poverty. The Runnin’ On Business Series Finale closes out Philly Track Jawn’s 2026 commercial corridor series with one final day of movement, community, and local business. Hosted by Philly Track Jawn (PTJ), a Philadelphia-based nonprofit advancing health and wealth outcomes in historically underserved communities through accessible, community-centered running and walking programming, Runnin’ On Business brings people directly into neighborhood commercial corridors to experience them on foot, connect with local businesses, and build stronger community relationships. Throughout the 2026 series, we’ve activated Girard Avenue, Lancaster Avenue, and Haverford Avenue, creating opportunities for runners, walkers, neighbors, and businesses to come together through movement. Tyrone-Snyder Public Library, Camp Anderson, and Tyrone Race Series are joining forces to present the 6th Annual Zombie Trail Fun Run! Zombie Trail Fun Run will take place on the first weekend of the annual Camp Anderson Fear Fest on Saturday, October 24th at 9am. Runners, walkers and zombies are all welcome! What is a Zombie Run? Join us for a unique spin on a Halloween favorite. Family Fun Run for your life Zombie Trail Fun Run, where zombies jump out at you along your run! Think of it as a Haunted Hayride just.... a race, well more appropriately.... a RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. Runners are given a "flag football belt" to wear during the race. There are "Zombie Zones" throughout the course in which the Zombies will attempt to get your flags (in a friendly but fun manner!) This event is untimed. Zombies are encouraged to dress as zombies. Join us on October 24th for the St. Andrew Spirit Run and Walk!

Come join us for a challenging and fun 5K Run and Walk/Hike through the beautiful trails of Fort Washington State Park and along the Wissahickon Creek Green Ribbon Trial. The trail follows the scenic Wissahickon Creek over the old Reading Railroad bridge (now a walking bridge – part of the trail) to historic Militia Hill and back. The course consists of well-marked dirt and asphalt trails in shaded, wooded areas of the State Park. A great time of year for this run with the leaves turning and a chill in the air! The first 100 registered runners/hikers will receive an official Fall Trail Run tec shirt. 5K run will award prizes to the top overall male/female race finishers and overall age group winners in the following brackets: Ages 1-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. All proceeds from this race go towards Scouts BSA Troops 541 and 542 in Maple Glen, PA. It is the mission of the Scouts BSA to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential. The Trestle Bridge Run Race across the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge. Built in 1905, standing 140 feet high and stretching 1,560 feet over the Conestoga River, the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge is one of the longest, highest bridge structures in Lancaster County. WHEN: Saturday, October 24th 10AM (EST) WHERE: Safe Harbor Park: 1 Powerhouse Rd Conestoga, PA 17516 (USE THIS ADDRESS FOR PARKING) INFORMATION: The race will take place on the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail. The course will be open to the public, however they must yield to a runner on the course. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. THIS RACE IS CANCELLED FOR 2026 The Susquehanna Township Alumni Association partnered with some of the STSD students are holding our breast cancer walk/run. Proceeds from this event benefit the Susquehanna Township Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign which in turn aids the Vickies Angle Foundation and the Pink Hands of Hope organizations. Both are organizations that help aid local families who are battling cancer. We are happy to bring back our 5k as one of our fundraisers for the campaign. Each runner will receive a white T-shirt with black lettering and a goody bag full of items donated by our sponsors. You will be Guaranteed a shirt and bag if registered on or before 9/26. If you wish to participate in the run but do not wish to get color thrown at you, We kindly ask that you wear a Pink Shirt the day of the event to participate in. We will have our volunteers do our best to avoid throwing color in your direction but cannot make any promises you will be completely color free. Crisis Center North's PAWS for Empowerment program welcome you and your pet to participate in the "Paws Against Domestic Violence" Pet Walk event! Let's go for a walk/run! Grab your tennis shoes and a pet, and join us at North Park for a walk on October 24th from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm to kick off Domestic Violence Awareness month! The mission of Crisis Center North is to empower victims of domestic violence and cultivate attitudes and community behaviors that break the cycle of violence. Crisis Center North is a 501(c)(3) non-profit counseling and resource center that provides services to victims of domestic violence and their loved ones in northern and western Allegheny County via counseling, therapy, case management, legal and medical advocacy, and economic empowerment services. In addition, the Center provides community trainings on topics related to intimate partner violence and teen dating violence, as well as prevention education programming to local schools. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the PAWS program. The PAWS program has evolved into a highly successful service offering four distinct components, including: assisting and providing emotional support and comfort to victims during trauma-informed counseling/therapy services (i.e., animal assisted therapy);accompanying domestic violence (DV) victims in Allegheny County courtrooms to help them face their perpetrators during Protection From Abuse (PFA) hearings and help find legal recourse;an educational component for local veterinarians and animal service providers designed to address the intersection between animal abuse and IPV; and,emergency animal care stipends for pets of families impacted by DV.

The 2026 Pumpkin Dash 5K, will be held on Saturday, October 24th, at 9:00 AM—rain or shine—along the picturesque banks of the Susquehanna river, beginning at 700 Front Street, Isle of Que (near the boat launch). Our 43 dedicated runners ran a phenomenal combined total of 724.17 miles! That incredible distance is roughly the equivalent of running from McKaig all the way to Chicago! While about 20% of participants stayed for the entire 12-hour duration, we must give a special shout-out to one incredible 59-year-old runner who logged a phenomenal 50 miles, achieving a total elevation gain of about 7,000 vertical feet and taking 72,000 steps! This massive effort was a crucial fundraiser, bringing in over $885 in donations to directly support McKaig’s trails and educational programs. Congratulations to all the runners!

This initiative aims to raise funds for our non-profit organization, King Family Memorial Foundation, Inc. (KFMF), which was established in response to a tragic event that occurred in Quakertown on Christmas morning in 2021. The King family, residing in Quakertown, faced a devastating house fire; while Kristin and Brady were lucky to survive, Eric (the father), along with their children, Liam and Patrick, tragically did not escape, nor did their dogs, Darla and Maggie. Our mission is to provide assistance and support to those who have experienced the unimaginable loss of spouses, parents, children, and siblings due to house fires. We also aim to help those who have lost their homes and are left with only the clothes on their backs. Additionally, we want to educate the children in our community and surrounding areas about fire safety, ensuring they know how to react in such terrifying situations. We also aspire to offer financial support to local fire departments whenever possible, continuing to honor the legacy of Eric, Liam, and Patrick while providing ongoing support and love to Kristin and Brady. Asylum Pride House is excited to announce our third annual Welcome Walk! We will be walking or running a 5K around The Ott Center Indoor Track at UPenn to raise funds and show our physical support of LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers here in Philadelphia PA. Registration is $20 until the end of August and then it will go up to $30. You can show further support by making an individual donation, raising funds, or bringing cleaning / housing supplies to the drive on walk day.
