The Bryon Martini Jr. 5k Memorial Run/Walk is our way to remember Bryon and celebrate his life while giving back to the community. All proceeds will go towards scholarships given to high school seniors at Frazier High School to help them start a bright future. Kick off the Penguins’ 60th Anniversary season by joining the 2026 Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run and Family Walk presented by Highmark on Sunday, October 4 at PPG Paints Arena. Choose how you participate: run the in-person 6.6K, enjoy the 3.3K Family Walk, or take part from anywhere with the Virtual 6.6K. All proceeds support cancer research and patient care through the Mario Lemieux Foundation, as well as youth initiatives of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation. In celebration of the team’s debut season 60 years ago, this year’s event brings back the iconic dark and light blue color scheme. The course begins at PPG Paints Arena and takes you across two bridges and through the Armstrong Tunnel before finishing back at the Arena— where you’ll be welcomed by Mario Lemieux and Penguins alumni. The Timothy School is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating children with autism, ages 5-21. For 60 years, the approved private school has worked to meet student needs through utilizing a research-based instructional model and focusing on each student’s individual strengths and needs to increase their skills and build their independence. This is a family friendly event for individuals of all ages and abilities. Participants can join by running a 5K, participating in the one mile fun run/walk, or joining us for the 'after party' post-race festivities! The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Explore the scenic Glenroy Preserve trails at the fourth annual Kettle Cooker Trail Race on October 4th, 2026 presented by Herr's Snacks and Hoka, along with many local sponsors! It takes a village! Glenroy Preserve is a beautiful outdoor playground that also happens to be rich in history. Some of the trails will take you through parts of the Underground Railroad, while even running past a tavern that was said to have served patrons during the Civil War. Each distance is a loop. All distances will follow the same course, however the 5 mile runners will split around mile 4 to the finish. ALL distances offer plenty of undulating hills, creek crossings, mixed terrain, and lots of on-course support. The 50K is two loops of the 25K. You should wear trail shoes for this race, as there are numerous creek crossings and mixed terrain to traverse. Your feet WILL get wet and trail shoes offer the best drainage and traction. You can jump over some water crossings, but there is at least one that offers no way around but through. Bibs must be worn on the front of your body, so please do not pin it to your hydration pack. We need to be able to see your number. Start time is 8:00am for ALL distances. Course closes at 5pm, which offers a generous cut-off time for the 50K and plenty of time to celebrate your race! Fourth Annual Boal City Oktoberfest 5K Trail Race Get ready for a 5k trail run on Sunday, October 4th, during the heart of Oktoberfest and peak fall foliage! For the most elite runners out there, get ready to push your limits and challenge yourself to the max. If you're 12 years old or younger, you can run with your friends and parents on the Mini Monster Trail Loop. (.04 less than 1/2 mile) As a bonus, all participants 21 and older receive a brew to keep the spirit alive long after the run. Awards will be given after the race. Come out and join the fun and competition. Parking Information Parking is only available at Boal City Brewery, 235 Old Boalsburg Ave Boalsburg Pa 16827. Pedestrians are advised to take extra care when crossing any streets, especially if accompanied by small children. All roads will be open to traffic, so please do not park along the streets in Boalsburg or in the nearby neighborhoods. Packet Pick Up Packet pick-up will be available race morning for 45 minutes, from 9:45-10:30. Mini Monster Trail Loop will pick up and will be available from 10:00-10:20. The first-place male and female winners will engrave their names on the trophy. This trophy will be kept at Boal City Brewery. Overall, winners are not eligible for age group awards. There will also be age group awards for males and females, with the top three in each age division being recognized. The age divisions are as follows: 29 and Under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and Up. The overall awards will be determined by gun time, while the age group awards will be determined by chip time. Mini Monster Loop will be timed with awards for everyone at 12:15. Course Description On the race day, all participants can easily follow the marked trail. The Oktoberfest 5k trail race will kick off outback Boal City Brewery. As soon as the start "gun" goes off, the race will begin along the gravel driveway of the 200-year-old Boal Estate Mansion. You will pass beneath ancient oak and maple trees and continue past Columbus Chapel on your left. The first part of the run will take you through recently cut farm fields that offer stunning views of the fall foliage. The trails are smooth and flowy, and they will take you through the Stan Yoder Preserve natural area and Blue Spring Park, both managed by the Center Region Park and Recreation. It's important to note that this course isn't flat, and you will encounter a few hills along the way. Follow the trail arrows, return to Boal City Brewery as quickly as possible, and enjoy a refreshing cold beer after your race. Get ready for another beautiful, fun-packed, Autumn morning at one of the region's most highly regarded 5k Trail Races. The McKaig Trail Race is kicking off its second decade as we celebrate our nation's 250th. The Perfect Marathon Training Race is BACK! The 5th Annual Shoes 'N Brews 26.2KM Metric Marathon & Relay will take place on Sunday October 5th, 2025. A collaboration between The RUNegades (Shoes) and The Conshohocken Brewing Company (Brews), this FLAT, FAST, POINT-TO-POINT race on the SRT will take you from Conshohocken to a rockin' afterparty on Bridge Street in Phoenixville. At 26.2 KM this "metric marathon" is 16.28 miles--basically a half marathon plus a 5K. It's perfect for marathon training OR for anyone who wants more than a half marathon but is not quite ready for a full.Not up for taking on all 16.2 miles by yourself? Team up with a running buddy and split the course in two with the TEAM RELAY OPTION! A 5k run and a 1-mile fun walk to benefit the Downingtown Rugby Club and All 4 Paws Rescue. Date: Sunday, October 4th@ 10:00 am Registration opens @ 9:00 am. Rain Date- Rugby players run in the rain, we prefer it!!   The Downingtown Rugby Football Club is a non-profit sports organization dedicated to playing, developing, and promoting rugby in the Downingtown Area for everyone from Grades K through 12. Third Annual Boal City Oktoberfest 5K Trail Race Get ready for a 5 K trail run on Sunday, October 5th, during the heart of Oktoberfest and peak fall foliage! For the most elite runners out there, get ready to push your limits and challenge yourself to the max. The Perfect Marathon Training Race is BACK! The 5th Annual Shoes 'N Brews 26.2KM Metric Marathon & Relay will take place on Sunday October 5th, 2025. A collaboration between The RUNegades (Shoes) and The Conshohocken Brewing Company (Brews), this FLAT, FAST, POINT-TO-POINT race on the SRT will take you from Conshohocken to a rockin' afterparty on Bridge Street in Phoenixville. The race is in honor of our late principal, Mr. Jordan Tomson, who unexpectedly passed away on January 1, 2020. An avid runner and excellent educator, Principal Tomson dedicated much of his life to teaching, mentoring, and encouraging the students of Westmoreland Christian Academy. The Proceeds from this event will benefit the Jordan Tomson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Christian education was extremely important to Principal Tomson, and the funds from this scholarship are allocated to supplement the cost of tuition for families who desire their children to receive a quality Christian education but who are unable to pay the full amount.
