29th Annual Chief Joseph Uphill Run

Laurel, MT
The race starts at the Thompson Park  6th St.,  runs through the hills north of town, and back to the park.  You can choose from a 2-mile, 4-mile, or 8-mile run. Note that the 8-mile race will start a 1/2 hour earlier, at 6:30 am. Register before 6/20/2025 to make sure you get a T-shirt.  Packet pick up will be July 2nd from 11am-3pm & July  3rd - 11am to 3pm at the Laurel Chamber of Commerce (108 E Main).  If at all possible, please pick up your packets at that time. Packets can also be picked up on the morning of the 4th before the race at Thomson Park

175-mile Pioneer Crossings Relay Race

Welcome to the PioneerCrossingsRelay (PCR) race in beautiful Montana. A 175-mile long-running relay race consisting of 36 legs that takes on 10,000 feet of elevation gain. The PCR follows the classic 12-person relay model where each runner takes on 3 legs. Standard team runners are split up into two groups of 6 runners, van 1 and van 2. While runners 1 through 6 in van 1 run through their respective legs, runners 7 through 12 in van 2 get a break and travel to their transition station where runner 6 of van 1 hands over the baton to runner 7 of van 2. This cycle gets repeated till all 36 legs are completed, typically taking 24 to 32 hours. For runners wanting to take it up another notch, there will be the possibility to sign up as an ultra team, completing the whole course with a team of just 6 runners, or to sign up as a wild card team for teams with 3 to 10 runners. St. Luke Buffalo Run 2026

Buffalo Run 2026 – Set for Saturday, July 11th, 2026! The Buffalo Run is part of the fun, family-oriented St. Ignatius Good Old Days event and is hosted by St. Luke Community Healthcare as a way to give back to the community and the St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce! The 1-mile fun run (walk/run), 4-mile run, and 7-mile run all start promptly at 8 a.m. on Main Street in front of Gambles Hardware (112 N. Main Street, St. Ignatius, MT 59865). Parents mark your calendars for July 11, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm at Woodland Park & Pool. All Kids Wanted! An event for children 4-13 years of age. This event is for youth of all abilities and skill levels. This event is made up of a swim, bike and run at Woodland Park.  The 4-5 age groups will swim 25 yards (must have a parent in water with them), Bike ½ mile and run 500 yards. The 6-8 age group will swim 50 yards (parent can help if needed in the water), bike 1 mile and run 500 yards. The 9-10 age group will swim 100 yds., bike 2 miles and run 1 mile. Wolf Run Series - RUNNING WOLF 2026

WOLF RUN SERIES This year we feature the RUNNING WOLF route, so if you missed it the first time around, now's your chance to complete this course as part of your Wolf Trifecta Series. The route this year will start in the Little Belt Mountains, this is a mostly downhill course for 9 miles where it then veers right to add a couple challenging climbs before the finish. To complete the Wolf Trifecta Series you must eventually finish all three courses (Running Wolf, Dry Wolf and Big Bad Wolf), either running or biking. These do not have to be completed in consecutive years.  Once all three races are in the books, not only will you have bragging rights, but you'll be rewarded with a Wolf Trifecta Series T-shirt and hand-made medal! Join us for the 33rd annual Jim Bridger Trail Run (10 miles) or the 5k fun run in beautiful Bozeman, Montana.  10-MILE  JIM BRIDGER TRAIL RUN: 8 a.m. start Saturday July 18, 2026. Features 2,838 feet of elevation gain through the beautiful foothills of the Bridger mountains. The course features a scenic loop starting near Sypes Canyon trailhead and continuing across private property only accessible on race day. Big Sky State Games Road Race

This is a fairly flat, fast course on Thiel/River Rd and follows along scenic views of the Yellowstone River and it's wildlife. Big Sky State Games road race competitors can compete in a 5k, 10k or 1/2 marathon. Montana Women's Triathlon

MTWTri is a user friendly multisport event in Helena. It starts at the city pool in Memorial Park. The pool is a 50 meter outdoor pool with no deep water. The swim is a 500 meter swim which equals 10 lengths of the pool. The lane is yours until you're done. No pressure. The bike course is a flat 10 mike bike ride through Centennial Park to Ten Mile Park and back.  Expect short gravel sections, packed dirt, and paved city trails.  There will be help on the course for mechanical problems.  The 3 mile run/walk is mostly in Centennial Park cruising on trails past the carousel and back through the tunnel to the park where you can wave your buddies on and have others cheer for you. The Last Best Ride

Welcome. We are so excited that you are planning on joining us for a three-day Montana cycling celebration of community, conservancy and nature. The Last Best Ride is a gravel race (or ride to some) originated in the Summer of 2021 where local professional cyclists Jess Cerra and Sam Boardman dreamed of creating a local Montana gravel race where the big sky's of Montana were showcased while featuring some of the best gravel riding in the lower 48.  The Last Best Ride is now in its sixth edition and we are excited that it will be lead under the new race director Brian Grubb.  Brian is a cyclist, father, lawyer, local Whitefish community member and enthusiast who is bringing a new vision to TLBR. Brian and his board are all local to Whitefish and looking to create a weekend filled with friendship, community support, a little bit of suffering and lots of celebration.  In it's sixth year the race will continue to be the only supporter of the Barbara Mansfield Champion Scholar Award

Headwaters Relay 2026

The Headwaters Relay is a 3 day, team run, team-supported, adventure race that goes through the backcountry of Montana. There are no aid stations. The exchange points are not marked and are found by following written leg descriptions. Legs very in difficulty and terrain, and range from 1 to 6 miles. Each day has a definitive start and end point, and overall team time is a compilation of cumulative time from all legs. Runners do not run through the night. Every team runner must run a minimum of one leg per day. ​ Due to Forest Service permits, we are limited to a field of 26 teams, with preference given to teams that ran the previous year. Overview: This is a great race to start your triathlon or duathlon racing career or as a family adventure. The triathlon is in open water, but wet suits are not necessary as the water is a reasonable temperature. Distances for adults is Mini - 150 yds, Short - 300 yards, Long - 600 yards. The running course is mostly on a trail shaded with giant old growth Western Larch trees - 3 miles. The bike ride is on a combination of paved county road, dirt road and trails - 7.8 miles. All racers are chipped including the kids and finish times are immediately available for printing and on devices. Registration: At the venue, Riverpoint Campground Day Use area, from 2-5pm on Friday and 7-8:45 on Saturday. Snowbowl 15K

The beautiful loop course will start and finish in the Snowbowl base area. The 9.3 mile course will climb for 4.65 miles on a mixture of dirt and double track roads. You will reach the top of the climb, and the only aid station on the course, at the top of Grizzly Chair. From there you will enjoy a beautiful 4.65 mile descent down the popular stretch of single track in the ski area, known as Beargrass Highway. We are excited to announce the 4th Annual Swift Bear Trail Run along with the new added event of 50K! It will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026 during Hays Powwow in the beautiful Mission Canyon. Along with the 50K, there will still be the 10 Mile and 20 Mile runs. So, come on out and get your run on! Quality of Life Run 2026

This year’s Quality of Life Run will take place on Saturday, August 8, returning to our original course from the Top of the Rims. The 5-mile race starting line will be located at Masterson Circle. From there, the course will proceed east on Highway 3 to 27th Street, then continue down to MSU-B, where the 2-Mile Race will begin. The finish line for all races will be at the cul-de-sac at N. 32nd Street and 6th Avenue North.    With the change in course and date, we hope to attract even more runners. Rough Cut Trailfest

Welcome to the first Red Lodge mountain bike race in ten years! Rough Cut Trailfest, based out of Red Lodge Mountain and venturing onto surrounding trails in the Custer Gallatin National Forest, will host three distances, include camping, family activities along with Red Lodge Mountains activities open to the public including disc golf, hiking and scenic lift rides.    Course Descriptions 25 Mile - Begins and ends at Red Lodge Mountain. Start with a single track loop at RLM, then make your way through a single track descent through Custer-Gallatin National Forest on singletrack, doubletrack, and a brief paved section. Bridger Ridge Run

The Ed Anacker Bridger Ridge Run is a remote and aesthetic ~20 mile foot-race along the crest of the Bridger Mountains, near Bozeman in Southwest Montana.  It is a not-for-profit event enabled by about as many volunteers as participants.    The Bridger Ridge Run is put on & sponsored by the Big Sky Wind Drinkers, which is a premier running club for runners of all ages and abilities.  Some videos, photos, and history of this event can be found on this Big Sky Wind Drinkers webpage.   Remote and Technical!
