Held at the beautiful Trap Pond State Park, this event takes runners on a scenic and invigorating course along the Bob Trail—a 4.5-mile loop around the 90-acre Trap Pond. The route winds through towering hardwood forests, crosses a picturesque dam at Raccoon Pond, and ventures over boardwalk bridges through freshwater swamps. Runners will be treated to breathtaking views of vibrant fall foliage, offering a colorful backdrop and a true taste of Sussex County’s lowland beauty during peak autumn. The Scrapple Scramble 5K is a fun, flavor‑packed community race celebrating Delaware’s most iconic breakfast tradition. Hosted by Fusion Racing, this event blends a fun course, great music, and a post‑race party built around everyone’s favorite crispy comfort food. Whether you’re chasing a PR or just jogging for the joy of it, the Scrapple Scramble delivers a welcoming atmosphere for runners, walkers, families, and scrapple lovers of all kinds.

This run/walk is in memory of Dan Rankin who was tragically hit and killed on Jan 24, 2024 by an impaired driver while out on a run training for a Spartan 50k race. Dan was married to his high school sweetheart and they have 4 beautiful children. He lived a very full life with no regrets. He was an entrepreneur at heart and always ready to lend a helping hand.   All proceeds will go to Delaware Wrestling Alliance.

Bring out the family, call up some old friends, and lace up those running shoes to burn calories before the big feast! In addition to a slice of pumpkin or apple pie, participants will also receive a branded campfire coffee mug so you can enjoy a warm drink with your Thanksgiving dessert.
