Saturday, September 19, 2026 Join us for a fun 5k in south-central Pennsylvania. Runners (or walkers) will begin and end their loop at the W. Dale Brougher Foundation YMCA in Shrewsbury, PA. March for the Fallen is an event for the military and civilian communities to join annually in honoring the memory of all fallen service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our great nation. We are bringing this event back to its roots. The event races will be manually timed.  You will have from your event start time until 6:00pm to complete the course. Awards will be provided to individual race winners by the Training Site.  ​​The events are the 28- and 14-mile heavy or light marches, 5k run/walk, a 28-mile hand cycle and a virtual 5k run/walk. Join the Honey Brook Community Partnership to experience a 5K like no other! Set in the heart of the Lanchester Landfill & Reclamation Center, where nature and sustainability meet. This unique course offers a scenic and challenging run or walk through gravel roads, wooded trails, grassy paths, and segments of the Lanchester Nature Trail.   Starting at the facility entrance (elevation 875 ft), runners and walkers will navigate a series of steady climbs and enjoy peaceful stretches through reclaimed landscapes. Two major hills define the course:   First Climb: Elevation gain from 919 ft to 1,056 ft through wooded and grassy paths   Final Ascent to Eastern Overlook: Elevation gain from 1,020 ft to 1,156 ft on gravel roads, leading to panoramic views of the surrounding valley   After reaching the overlook, runners and walkers will double back and enjoy a fast, mostly downhill finish to the starting line. This timed charity fun run features an approximately 3-mile course through the beautiful, tree-lined streets of North Park in northern Allegheny County, just north of Pittsburgh, PA. Celebrate with us at our annual Tröegs Rugged Trail Run for Conservation! We are geared up for making this another successful fundraiser in support of the Ned Smith Center's lands and trails system. The Center boasts a beautiful woodland setting with over 9 miles of trails winding through 500+ acres of land, a scenic bridge over the Wiconisco Creek, a children’s natural play area, three rotating art galleries featuring the art of Ned Smith and various national and local artists, a gift shop, and innovative educational programming for all ages. The Center is thrilled to partner with Tröegs Brewing Company for this exciting event!  All proceeds will support the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art. The race will begin at 5pm for the Hopback Trail and around 5:10pm for the Rugged Trail. Following the race, an after-party featuring live music, a basket raffle, food and drink, and vendors. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. "Hyatt's Run With the Angels" 5K course is a beautiful 3.1 mile out and back course at the base of the Laurel Mountains set at Pine Springs Camp in Somerset County, PA.   This Annual Event is being hosted by the "Hyatt's Angels" Foundation, and all net proceeds will go to help provide need based financial and emotional assistance to families who have suffered the loss of a child.  Early registration runs through 11:59 pm on Monday, August 23rd, and includes a FREE RACE TEE.  Late registration is from August 24th through 11:59 pm on September 18th.  Race Day registration will be from 7:30 am to 8:30 am on Race Day, Saturday, September 19th.  No shirt guarantee for late or race day registrations. The 14th Annual NCSAA 5k Run / Walk features our traditional on-site format. You will be eligible to participate in our local run / walk event held at Brady's Run Park in Beaver Falls, PA (which will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 -- starting at 4:40 PM -- please arrive much earlier to complete on-site registration). The event will include a 5k Run / Walk (a beautiful, mostly flat and often shaded course back through the park), as well as a 1-Mile Walk (for those walkers who would prefer to not walk the entire 5k). Participants will be eligible for awards and prizes. Awards will be presented to the top three overall 5k male and female finishers, as well as to the top three 5k male and female finishers in each age group (7 and under, 8-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Post-race food and drinks will also be provided to all participants, and you'll be entered into our fun prize giveaway, which will take place after the race. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit mission and work of the National Christian School Athletic Association. AGAIN THIS YEAR...a 5k team competition! Put together a team of five or more people who will participate in the 5k. Team scoring is done via cross-country format (each of your team's top five finishers earns points equal to their overall place in the 5k race, and the team with the lowest score wins). Participants are also eligible for individual awards and prizes. After you register for the event (and within a couple weeks of the date of the event), you will receive (by e-mail) additional, detailed instructions regarding race-day details, directions, etc. All participants that register by September 6 will receive a t-shirt at the event. Join the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and KRV Veterans Relief for a satellite ruck to the 15th annual March for the Fallen event on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Cambridge Springs Readiness Center. This event is rain or shine! March for the Fallen is an event for the military and civilian communities to join annually in honoring the memory of all fallen service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our great nation. We are celebrating the 1/112th lineage by following the route from the original 6th Street Armory in Erie, PA to the newer home of the 1/112th Infantry in Cambridge Springs, PA. While the events will not be timed, you will have from your event start time until 6:00pm to complete the course. The events are the 26- or 11.2- mile heavy or light marches and 5k run/walk. Heavy marches consist of rucking with a pack weighing at minimum 35lbs, while the light category requires 10lbs. Spectators are also welcome in support of the event but must exercise extreme caution when along the march route, as Route 97 is a public roadway and will be open for traffic during the event. The 26- and 11.2-mile marches offer challenging elevations and various scenery along a public roadway Route 97. The 26-mile option follows the route from the historic armory on the corner of East 6th and Parade Streets in downtown Erie to the current home of the 1/112th Infantry Battalion on Center Street in Cambridge Springs. Transportation will be provided to the start site. The 11.2-mile route follows along Route 97 from the Fort LeBeouf Historical Center and the Eagle Hotel in Waterford, PA to the current home of the 1/112th Infantry Battalion on Center Street in Cambridge Springs, PA. Transportation will be provided to the start site. The 5k run/walk is a great option for those preferring to run, families, or community members who want to stay local. The course will meander through the historic downtown Cambridge Springs, beginning and ending at the armory. Bibs will be provided at check-in. Bibs must be always displayed on your back and visible for safety purposes. Bibs are required to be on the courses. Those found on the courses without the proper event bib will be removed. VanGiesen, KRV Veterans Relief supports current or former US Military Servicemembers residing in Pennsylvania, current or former PA Army and Air National Guard Members, and their families. Funded completely through fundraising events and donations, the organization provides academic scholarships to students seeking higher education, especially in a technical field, as well as emergency relief funds for servicemembers who may be struggling.

Lace up your sneakers and join us for our 4th Annual 5K and Fun Walk, supporting this year’s beneficiary, Neighborhood Emergency Aid Response (NEAR). NEAR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2022 to provide rapid emergency assistance within the Amblebrook community. When a medical emergency occurs, every second matters. While Amblebrook is served by the regional 911 system—including Adams Regional Emergency Medical Services (AREMS), the Gettysburg Fire Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police—the large coverage areas for these services can sometimes lead to longer response times. NEAR was created to help bridge that gap. When you dial 911, NEAR is dispatched at the same time as the ambulance. As a Pennsylvania EMS-certified Quick Response Service (QRS), NEAR volunteers are often able to arrive quickly to provide critical care until professional emergency responders arrive. NEAR works closely with AREMS and is certified through the Emergency Health Services Federation of Pennsylvania. Each response team includes highly trained volunteers skilled in basic life support, CPR/AED, and first aid, with at least one team member certified as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), EMT, or Paramedic. These teams provide immediate, potentially life-saving interventions while awaiting ambulance crews. In addition to emergency response, NEAR strengthens the community by offering CPR, AED, and first-aid training for Amblebrook residents. Proceeds and donations from this year’s race support NEAR’s mission and contribute to a designated endowment that helps sustain the organization for years to come, ensuring that rapid emergency care is available when our community needs it most.

The Boxers’ Trail 5k is now open for 2026! Join us, in-person, for the 15th annual Boxers' Trail 5k this fall! Sign up to run or walk the Boxers' Trail in-person on September 19th and help support important youth programming in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood. The Boxers' Trail is like no other. It twists through forests and meadows, up hills and along shady creeks; passes historic mansions and vibrant playgrounds. This trail was a favorite of many boxing greats. Sign up and find out why! This unique course offers a scenic and challenging run or walk on paved surfaces, wooded trails, grassy paths, and segments of the Lanchester Nature Trail. Starting at the facility entrance (elevation 875 ft), runners and walkers will navigate a series of steady climbs and enjoy peaceful stretches through reclaimed landscapes. Two major hills define the course: First Climb: Elevation gain from 919 ft to 1,056 ft through wooded and grassy pathsFinal Ascent to Eastern Overlook: Elevation gain from 1,020 ft to 1,156 ft on gravel roads, leading to panoramic views of the surrounding valley After reaching the overlook, runners and walkers will double back and enjoy a fast, mostly downhill finish to the starting line. Every September, Armstrong works to Avenge Hunger by collecting resources to help supply community feeding programs and bring awareness to the need that exists. A Walk For Hunger will provide financial support to community feeding programs in the communities served by the Zelienople Armstrong Office. The local feeding programs we partner with are The Lighthouse Foundation, Southwest Butler Food Cupboard, Gleaner's Food Bank, Victory Family Church, Inspired Hearts & Hands, and Holy Redeemer Social Services in Ellwood City. This year, we're excited to announce Peyton Sammon will be our Seneca Valley Senior. Peyton will help with Breaking Bread's 4 key initiatives: Raising Awareness for students and people in the community, volunteering at our local food banks for food collection and distribution, and collecting food donations and money to be directly distributed to our food banks! This year, we will be holding A Walk For Hunger on Sunday, September 20th at Zelienople Community Park. Registration will start at 9 am. Our opening ceremony will begin at 10 am and we will start walking the trail immediately after. You're only required to do 1 lap (3 laps = 5K) but you're more than welcome to continue on if you'd like to do a 5K. We will have a raffle basket drawing and check presentation ceremony once everyone has finished their walk!

Steelman Racing Endless Summer Swim will be held on September 20th, 2026, at the Tohickon Boat Launch at Nockamixon State Park. This is the third and final race of the Steelman Racing Open Water Swim Series, and is the perfect way to end your summer swimming season in a fun and challenging race environment.
