Now more than ever, The Main Line Chamber Foundation needs your help as we seek to continue the Volunteer Emergency Responders Scholarship program. Thanks to your past support, during our Hometown Heroes event in June, we were able to provide $50,000 in scholarships to volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians. These outstanding volunteers risk their lives on every call.Registration is $35 until the day of the race. Race Day registration is $40. You may sign up in person on Pre-Race Packet Pick-up or the day of the race. Packet Pick-Up can be either the morning of the race OR at the Pre-Race Packet pick up on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10 AM - 2 PM at a location to be determined. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Welcome to the 2026-2027 swim season! We need to raise about $5,000 to pay for propane/heating at Lawrence Park Swim Club this winter. This event will serve exclusively as a fundraiser and 100% of the proceeds will go toward LPSC to pay for expenses related to the club (so we can keep using it). This is a brief description of our "Grown Up" swim meet that will take place on the evening of 9/14/26. Early registration price is $25. Late registration price is $35. Entry fee includes up to 5 total events (individual + relay). This is one single fee that covers up to 5 events, not a fee per event. Event headquarters will be at Lawrence Park Swim Club, at 293 Langford Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. This is an outdoor heated 25 meter pool. Pool is generally heated to 81-82F. Please join us for the Sixth Annual Drive Out Sarcoma Golf Tournament held at Overlook Golf Course in Lancaster, PA in honor of Ginny McCreary and her fight against stage IV CIC-DUX4 round cell sarcoma. This is a four-man scramble with a shotgun start at 1pm, dinner to follow. Lunch, Beer on the Course and Dinner at Stoner Grille is included in the cost for all golfers. The fundraising dinner is family-friendly! We will have mini golf, a bounce house and other craft related activities for kids! For adults we'll have drinks, live music and lots of amazing raffles up for grabs! Adults and Children who would like to join us for dinner will need to purchase a Dinner Only Ticket. Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Cleveland Clinic and The Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Center to support Sarcoma Cancer research. Thanks to all of your generosity in years past, we have been able to donate over $200,000 to sarcoma cancer patients and research! We hope you can join us for this fun and inspiring event to Drive Out Sarcoma! Ginny's Story In the summer of 2019, Ginny noticed a small lump on her hip that overtime started to grow and cause pain. After an MRI it was determined that Ginny had a soft tissue mass on her left thigh. A biopsy was done declaring the mass a benign hematoma. It was removed in early October. A few days after surgery Ginny went to the ER after coughing up blood. A CT of the chest revealed in-numerous nodules all over her lungs. After 9 days in the hospital and 74 tests, Ginny was diagnosed with stage IV CIC-DUX4 round cell sarcoma on October 21st, 2019. The primary tumor was what they thought was the hematoma and it had already spread to the lungs, making it stage IV at diagnosis with a very poor prognosis for long term survival. Starting in November 2019 Ginny had been on multiple chemo treatments, had whole brain radiation, radiation and surgery to her left thigh. On August 15, 2021 Ginny passed away peacefully at home following her courageous battle. The family and friends Ginny left behind will continue to fight this horrible disease in her honor. Please continue to donate in honor of Ginny. We won't stop until we find a cure.

Join the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, at Fort Indiantown Gap for the 15th annual March for the Fallen event on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Fort Indiantown Gap. This event is rain or shine! March for the Fallen is an event for the military and civilian communities to join annually in honoring the memory of all fallen service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our great nation. We are bringing this event back to its roots. The event races will be manually timed. You will have from your event start time until 6:00pm to complete the course. Awards will be provided to individual race winners by the Training Site. ​​The events are the 28- and 14-mile heavy or light marches, 5k run/walk, a 28-mile hand cycle and a virtual 5k run/walk. Heavy marches consist of rucking with a pack weighing at minimum 35lbs. There is a minimum 10lb ruck for light division to qualify for an award. Spectators are also welcome in support of the event but cannot be along the march route. The safest and most comfortable place for spectators will be at the Community Club. The 28- and 14-mile marches offer challenging routes varying from asphalt roads to rolling and steep mountain trails of dirt and gravel on the training lands of Fort Indiantown Gap. The course start point elevation is 500.77' and climbs to 1239.43' on Second Mountain of the Appalachian Mountain Range; low point elevation is 484.28' and is within the first mile of the course. Bibs will be provided at check-in. Bibs must be always displayed on your back and visible for safety purposes. Bibs are required to be on the courses. Those found on the courses without the proper event bib will be removed. Packet Pickup will be Friday 18 Sep 4:30-7:00PM at the Community Club on Fisher Ave and the day of the event starting at 5:30AM. Celebrate with us at our annual Tröegs Rugged Trail Run for Conservation! We are geared up for making this another successful fundraiser in support of the Ned Smith Center's lands and trails system. The Center boasts a beautiful woodland setting with over 9 miles of trails winding through 500+ acres of land, a scenic bridge over the Wiconisco Creek, a children’s natural play area, three rotating art galleries featuring the art of Ned Smith and various national and local artists, a gift shop, and innovative educational programming for all ages. The Center is thrilled to partner with Tröegs Brewing Company for this exciting event! All proceeds will support the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art. The race will begin at 5pm for the Hopback Trail and around 5:10pm for the Rugged Trail. Following the race, an after-party featuring live music, a basket raffle, food and drink, and vendors. The awards ceremony will commence around 7pm. Winners do not need to be present to receive their awards, but Raffle winners must be present to collect their baskets. While the Ned Smith Center is pet friendly, we do not allow dogs to participate in the race. They may cheer their runner on from the finish line and enjoy the after party. When a medical emergency occurs, every second matters. While Amblebrook is served by the regional 911 system—including Adams Regional Emergency Medical Services (AREMS), the Gettysburg Fire Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police—the large coverage areas for these services can sometimes lead to longer response times. NEAR was created to help bridge that gap. When you dial 911, NEAR is dispatched at the same time as the ambulance. As a Pennsylvania EMS-certified Quick Response Service (QRS), NEAR volunteers are often able to arrive quickly to provide critical care until professional emergency responders arrive. Join the Honey Brook Community Partnership to experience a 5K like no other! Set in the heart of the Lanchester Landfill & Reclamation Center, where nature and sustainability meet. This unique course offers a scenic and challenging run or walk through gravel roads, wooded trails, grassy paths, and segments of the Lanchester Nature Trail.   Starting at the facility entrance (elevation 875 ft), runners and walkers will navigate a series of steady climbs and enjoy peaceful stretches through reclaimed landscapes. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Our Adult Services Division provides programs where participants enhance their life skills to develop greater independence. We also provide PEP (Personal Enrichment Programs) programs and activities for adults through our 18+. The multi-pronged approach includes enhancing social and independence skills, integration into the community through volunteering, and creating possible trainings and opportunities. Join the Honey Brook Community Partnership to experience a 5K like no other! Set in the heart of the Lanchester Landfill & Reclamation Center, where nature and sustainability meet. Online registration will officially close at Noon on Wednesday, Sept 16. The event will be at Hills Creek State Park at 111 Spillway Road, Wellsboro, PA 16901, seven miles northeast of Wellsboro. Those who want to solo can do all three legs of the TRYathlon or two or three people can form a team. The event also includes a 5K stand-alone option for runners and walkers who only want to do the 5K. Race day registration will be available again this year starting at 8:30am on race day. All runners and walkers, whether they are participating in the 5K only or all three legs of the Tryathlon will start at the same location and follow the same course on park roads and trails around the perimeter of Hills Creek Lake. The second leg of the Tryathlon is paddling a canoe or kayak around a 1.75-mile course identified with temporary markers on Hills Creek Lake. Join the Honey Brook Community Partnership to experience a 5K like no other! Set in the heart of the Lanchester Landfill & Reclamation Center, where nature and sustainability meet. This unique course offers a scenic and challenging run or walk on paved surfaces, wooded trails, grassy paths, and segments of the Lanchester Nature Trail. Starting at the facility entrance (elevation 875 ft), runners and walkers will navigate a series of steady climbs and enjoy peaceful stretches through reclaimed landscapes. Two major hills define the course: First Climb: Elevation gain from 919 ft to 1,056 ft through wooded and grassy pathsFinal Ascent to Eastern Overlook: Elevation gain from 1,020 ft to 1,156 ft on gravel roads, leading to panoramic views of the surrounding valley After reaching the overlook, runners and walkers will double back and enjoy a fast, mostly downhill finish to the starting line. Kids1 Mile Fun Run is on a mostly flat incline a half hour prior to the 5K, allowing parents or older siblings to run beside the child if they wish (required for children under 5 years). Race proceeds go to support non-profit groups in the Honey Brook area that provide food and emergency support services to those in need in this community. NEAR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2022 to provide rapid emergency assistance within the Amblebrook community. When a medical emergency occurs, every second matters. While Amblebrook is served by the regional 911 system—including Adams Regional Emergency Medical Services (AREMS), the Gettysburg Fire Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police—the large coverage areas for these services can sometimes lead to longer response times. NEAR was created to help bridge that gap. When you dial 911, NEAR is dispatched at the same time as the ambulance. As a Pennsylvania EMS-certified Quick Response Service (QRS), NEAR volunteers are often able to arrive quickly to provide critical care until professional emergency responders arrive. NEAR works closely with AREMS and is certified through the Emergency Health Services Federation of Pennsylvania. Each response team includes highly trained volunteers skilled in basic life support, CPR/AED, and first aid, with at least one team member certified as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), EMT, or Paramedic. These teams provide immediate, potentially life-saving interventions while awaiting ambulance crews. In addition to emergency response, NEAR strengthens the community by offering CPR, AED, and first-aid training for Amblebrook residents. Proceeds and donations from this year’s race support NEAR’s mission and contribute to a designated endowment that helps sustain the organization for years to come, ensuring that rapid emergency care is available when our community needs it most.
