THIS IS THE APRIL 17th, 2027 EVENT To honor America's steadfast 911 Dispatchers and celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, Relevant Running brings you another of our signature "live virtual" races! Join us on Saturday April 17th, 2027 for the 911 Dispatch "LIVE VIRTUAL" 5K/10K. This is no ordinary virtual race. It’s a unique “Live Virtual” running and walking event, with tens of thousands of runners and walkers who have already experienced and loved our one-of-a-kind race format. Using the technology already in your pocket or on your wrist, or even your treadmill, we bring participants from across the country, and sometimes around the world, together on race day for a shared Live Virtual race experience! Among other things, there is a scheduled race date and start time (Saturday April 17th, 2027 at 8am Eastern time USA), a virtual check in and start via text or Facebook live-stream on race day morning, timekeeping (runners will text screenshots or pictures of their chosen method of time and distance keeping), a private and active Facebook group dedicated to our runners and walkers. All participants will receive the one of a kind custom 911 Dispatch 5K/10K race medal, with age group and overall winners receiving laser engraving of their time and placement on the back of their medal! The first annual “Run for Sweet Caroline” will be held on April 19, 2026 in honor of beloved wife, mother and friend Caroline Rhine who passed away from a rare cancer called leiomyosarcoma on November 6, 2024.  Thanks to generous donations from our sponsors to cover the cost of the event, 100% of the funds raised from registration fees and additional donations will go to support Sarcoma Awareness, Patient Education and Assistance, and Sarcoma Research through organizations like the Sarcoma Alliance, The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Leiomyosarcoma Support & Direct Research Foundation. COURSE INFORMATION: Experience trail running at its finest in the heart of the Withlacoochee State Forest. The Withlacoochee Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K takes place on the hiking and equestrian trails within the Two Mile Prairie Tract, just outside Lecanto, FL. Runners will travel through scenic sandhills, oak forests, and wet prairies, with frequent opportunities to spot local wildlife along the course. This is a true Florida trail running experience—beautiful, rugged, and memorable. Please note: this is not a certified course, and it is 100% on unpaved trails. THE COURSE Central Florida is flat. Lake Louisa isn't. The Lake Louisa 2-Day Challenge runs the paved park roads of Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, FL, on April 24–25, 2027. The park sits on the Lake Wales Ridge — rolling hills, sandhill, oak hammock, and three lakes. Every repeat runs out past Dixie Lake, over the hills, around the north lot, and back. Park roads stay open to vehicles in both directions — run on the left, facing traffic, with one marked crossing at the 10K turn. Stay in a cabin on Dixie Lake or at the campground and your start line is inside the gate. DISTANCES AND START TIMES 6:45 AM — 50K and Marathon 6:55 AM — Half Marathon 7:45 AM — 10K and 5K Available distances: 50K · Marathon · Half Marathon · 10K · 5K WHAT YOU GET. WHAT YOU DON'T. No shirts. No race bags. No expo. No chip timing. Nothing in a bag at the finish. A measured course. A clock. A finish that gets recorded. And a reason to come back tomorrow. Every finisher earns the Daily Finisher Medallion. Run both days on a Streak and you earn the Tier Patch. RACE DAY CUTOFF 3:45 PM. This applies to the full race day — not per distance. Runners still on course after the cutoff will be directed off course. PARKING AND PARK ENTRY Enter Lake Louisa State Park at 7305 U.S. Highway 27, Clermont. The gate opens to participants at 6:00 AM. Follow RACE PARKING signs to the event fields between the Hitching Post and the campground. Park admission is $5, paid at the ranger station. Have a $5 bill ready for the fastest entry — credit cards are accepted, but slower. Or buy a Lake Louisa State Park single-day pass online on race morning; it must be for Lake Louisa and is valid only the day you buy it. CAMPING Cabins on Dixie Lake, a full-facility campground, glamping, and primitive sites put you inside the park for the full Challenge. Reserved directly through Florida State Parks at reserve.floridastateparks.org, not race registration — sites are shared with the public and fill fast. AID STATION This is a cupless event. Carry your own fluids — handheld bottle, vest, or waist pack. MileBuilt provides water, an electrolyte drink, and basic snacks at the Hitching Post start/finish, plus water and electrolyte at the turnaround lot. Do not rely on the aid station as your complete nutrition plan, especially for longer distances or multi-day participation. BIB PICKUP Race day, at the Hitching Post start/finish: 50K and Marathon — from 6:00 AM, 45 minutes before your start Half Marathon — from 6:00 AM, 55 minutes before your start 10K and 5K — from 6:45 AM, one hour before your start Honor system, no ID required. A friend may pick up on your behalf. No bib transfers. FINISH Not chip timed. When you finish: cross the line, strike the GONG, then complete the Clock Out at the MileBuilt Time Clock. Official finish times are recorded at the MileBuilt Time Clock and verified by the Race Director before results are posted. Every runner must complete the Clock Out process to receive an official finish record. One day is a full race. Two days is a Streak.

This popular Sprint Triathlon is celebrating our 7th year in 2027.  Enjoy a safe and scenic race while enjoying the beauty of historic Defuniak Springs located in the Florida panhandle.  Our racers enjoy a 600 meter wet suit friendly swim in one of the world's two circular lakes, a 12 mile bike ride through the rolling hills of the Eucheeanna Valley and finish with a 5k flat run passing by the historic homes of Defuniak Springs. Enjoy pulled pork sandwiches after the race and Celebration Party at the Last Stop Beer Vault complete with a free beer! Race Benefits local non-profits.  We donated almost $6,000 to local non-profits last year.
