Join us for the 2nd annual Lake Lou Yaeger Triathlon in Litchfield, Illinois! With multiple race options available, athletes will kick off with a beach start in the beautiful Lake Lou Yaeger, followed by a scenic bike ride through flat, picturesque country roads. The run portion takes you on a stunning tour of the lake area, winding through campsites and offering breathtaking views of the water and surrounding nature. This exciting event marks the beginning of the triathlon season, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms.  Our American Legion Auxiliary Unit is proud to host this annual 5K Run/Walk. All proceeds go to support veterans and their families.  Registration and the race finish line are located near the historic Onarga American Legion Post 551 building, located on the eastern side of Onarga's Durham Park. Runners and walkers will follow a flat, paved route around the park and through the quaint streets of this small town. Members of the Onarga American Legion family will be on site to direct, support, and cheer on our participants!  All ages are invited to join! Strollers are welcome. The Westmont Park District has partnered with the local nonprofit People’s Resource Center (PRC) so that proceeds from the race can benefit neighbors in need, right here in our community. As a partner in the community, PRC helps to meet neighbors’ basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing assistance services. In addition, PRC provides job, computer, and literacy training programs and art empowerment classes to help neighbors in need here in DuPage County. 2025 Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K Please join us as a runner/walker in our 7th running of the Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K! The Neoga Days 5K Run/Walk is back!! The race will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 and will start in front of the Neoga Community Center. The Elgin Valley Fox Trot 10 Mile and 5K races will take place in Elgin on May 31, 2026. This will be the 49th consecutive Elgin Valley Fox Trot which makes it one of the longest running and most popular running events in the region. The event will include a 10-Mile and 5K race with both featuring scenic USATF certified courses. New for 2026 will be a 2K Fun Walk.  There will also be a great postrace party which includes the awards presentation, an expo by our sponsors, music, dancing, free beer for all drinking age runners, great treats for the kids, and food trucks for the spectators and runners. Everyone will want to stick around after the race and join in the fun.”   The races will benefit ten area non-profits whose members will be on hand as volunteers providing a fun, safe race for all participants.

Y NINJA is a fun Obstacle Course Run for kids. All fees are per person. There will be a variety of inflatable and constructed obstacles across the grounds of Kerasotes YMCA. Join the Pittsfield Fire Department for our first Run walk 5K event at Lake Pittsfield! Take a scenic stroll or competitive jog around the picturesque Lake Pittsfield while supporting Pittsfield Fire Department and celebrating fire prevention week. Race Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 8:00 AM Join us for a 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk and Kids Dash on the main runways and taxiways at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling, Illinois. The 5K course is USATF Certified, and chip timed. Hang out after your event for podium awards, music, food, giveaways and kids' activities. Plus keep an eye out for princess and superhero guest appearances through the morning!  Strollers and wagons are welcome. No pets are allowed.  In case of inclement weather, a cancellation call will be made by 8:30AM on event day. This is a fundraising event with proceeds benefiting local aviation scholarships. This is a great event whether you are a novice runner looking to run your first 5k, or a seasoned competitor looking to beat your personal best time. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome to participate. The course consists of flat roadways and paths that wind through picturesque Krape Park. The race is also part of the Rockford Road Runners circuit. All pre-registered participants will receive an event T-shirt. Starting in the parking lot near mini golf and the baseball field, along Yellow Creek, past the Krape Park waterfall, and twin caves, over two scenic bridges then out the tree lined south entrance of the park and return. Race start and finish behind the Carterville Community Center.  This event resembles a high school-style cross country meet, using standard scoring and a 5K course.  This is a team event, with 3-5 runners per team. (3 scoring runners per team)  If you don't have a team or enough people to make an entire team, we will help you on race day to put a team together. You can run the race solo, if you prefer. You can expect mostly grass with a little gravel and paved path in the mix.   Awards for the top 20 female and male runners as well as top team in each division (Male, Female, and Mixed).    Team scores are calculated by adding up the finishing positions of the top five runner

The party will begin at 5:30 with dinner at 6:00 p.m. The cost per person for the Banquet will be $15.00. Again, this year, we will request that you pay the total cost in advance. The cost will include a dinner, dessert, domestic beer and soft drinks. A cash bar will be available where you may purchase mixed drinks at your expense. If you show up after dinner without paying ahead then you will be responsible for buying all your own food and drinks.
