ACORN's Tour de Farms

Middlebury, VT
Join us for our second Tour de Farms in and around Middlebury, this year with a family-friendly route! Enjoy panoramic views and beautiful back roads as you visit local farms in Middlebury, Weybridge, Cornwall, and Salisbury, Vermont. This scenic ride features several relaxed farm stops with multiple food producers who will offer you a taste of all the Champlain Valley has to offer! All samples are included in the ride, but cash is handy in case you'd like to purchase products along the way. Don't worry about carrying all of your goodies on the bike; we'll have a farm van to pick up your purchases and deliver them to the finish for you!  Much of the course is along dirt and/or gravel roads, so grab your gravel grinder or your mountain bike. If you've got a road bike, consider putting wider tires on it for this ride. It'll be worth it! E-bikes are welcome and encouraged as a comfortable option. Many Vermont libraries offer free E-bike rentals, and our local bike shop

1Lt Mark Dooley Race of Remembrance is a 5k race/walk in honor of 1LT Mark Dooley's service to our country, state and community. This race is a community event sponsored by our local businesses and the Wilmington Police Department. All proceeds from this event are used to support Mark's memory by giving back to the community.  One such community endeavor is the 1LT Mark Dooley Scholarship awarded to a Twin Valley High School Senior. TAM Trek

Middlebury, VT
The TAM Trek is a trail race and fun run to raise money for the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM) in Middlebury, VT. This trail is a19-mile long footpath, encircling the village of Middlebury and linking several hundred acres of town land, conserved properties, schools, and other local landmarks. All distances start and finish at Wright Park in Middlebury, Vermont. The 19 mile race course travels the entire TAM through the towns of Middlebury, Cornwall, New Haven, and Weybridge, VT. The trail is scenic, rolling, and includes incredible views of the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondacks to the west.  19-mile race departs at 7:30 AM. The 10K course is entirely on single-track trail through Wright Park and the Otter Creek Gorge Loop (trail maps available at www.maltvt.org), with around 400 feet of elevation gain and several fairly technical sections.  10k race departs at 9 AM. Apple Harvest 10k

Shelburne, VT
Course Certified (VT13007JK) 10K out and back through Shelburne and Charlotte. This fast course is a mix of dirt and paved roads and has pleasant scenery - apple orchards, views along Lake Champlain, and the covered bridge at the turn around point. The start and finish is at Shelburne beach and proceeds along Bostwick, Orchard, and Lake roads. Water stops are at approximately 2 and 4 miles.   Registration Pre-registration online, closes on Friday, Sept. 25th at noon or at 180 participants. There will be NO race day registration; pre-registered runners can pick up their bibs at the Shelburne Town Beach between 7:45 and 8:45 AM. Bib pickup will close promptly at 8:45.  Restrictions Open to all runners 12 and older. For runners under the age of 12, the runner must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the race. 33 Years of Supporting Vermont Adaptive The Vermont 50 is an annual race held during the last weekend of September at Ascutney Outdoors in  West Windsor, Vermont. All benefits go to Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. Champlain Islands Marathon & Half Marathon

Race Date, Time and Location for 2026 Events DATE: Sunday, October 18, 2026 TIME: 8:30 AM LOCATION: Folsom Elementary School, 75 South St, South Hero, VT 05486 The Full and Half Marathon will both start at 8:30 AM directly in front of the Folsom Elementary School. Course The marathon and half-marathon begin and end near the house where Clarence H. DeMar, seven-time Boston Marathon Winner, once lived. The half-marathon course is out and back on the west shore of South Hero and Grand Isle; a land of farms, apple orchards, and summer cottages. The terrain is flat to rolling. Beginning and ending at Shelburne Field House, the half marathon is a loop course in picturesque Shelburne, Vermont.  You'll be running on a combination of dirt and back roads including a portion on the Meach Cove property, running past Shelburne Farms, and a stretch of Harbor Road with beautiful views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks.  The 5K and 10K courses are both out-and-back courses that run along Harbor Road and back. The 5K is relatively flat, whereas the 10K has a couple of hills.

A mountain-built trek up Burke Mountain’s rugged Northeast Kingdom ridges. The route climbs forested single-track and old logging roads, then breaks onto rocky ridgelines and spruce-soaked slopes for sweeping valley and mountain-range views. Push your pace. RunVermont's Youth Running Programs

RunVermont's mission is to support running as a lifelong activity by producing exceptional events and programs that engage our community and celebrate the athletic spirit. RunVermont endeavors to start this support early by offering free youth races throughout the year and through its Mini Milers program. Mini Milers gives elementary school children access to fitness, good nutrition, community service and goal setting, all while having fun and being safe. Children meet weekly with Mini Miler leaders to get motivated, get educated, get some exercise, and keep track of their progress. Mini Milers are not required to participate in RunVermont's Memorial Day Weekend Youth Events, which include the M&T Bank Vermont City Two Mile and the Mini Marathon, but the majority of Mini Milers, along with several hundred other youth, choose to.
