Our 14th Annual Water Drop Dash 5K will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.  In partnership with Racing Solutions, CNC has mapped out a 5k course that is fast, flat, and a Peachtree Qualifying course along the banks of the beautiful Chattahoochee River in Roswell, Georgia!  Our 5k road race is presented by Metro North Georgia Water Planning District and in conjunction with national WaterSense Fix a Leak Week, the run and post-race water festival encourages metro Atlanta residents to conserve water.  Remember to share your race day experience with us by sharing photos on social media, @chattahoocheenaturecenter with our hashtags #waterdropdash or #getyourrunon! Spartan Shamrock Sprint

Douglasville, GA
The second annual Spartan Shamrock Sprint takes you on a two-loop journey around the local high school and elementary school. The course begins at 9:00 am near the track with a steady incline towards the main road, followed by a decline along the road and into the elementary bus loop. A brief section of the course leads down and back between the baseball and football fields, through the student parking lot, and repeats the whole course, ending with a photo finish on the school track. While you wait for awards, grab some free lite refreshments and take a photo with Sparty the Spartan, the school mascot, or indulge in a cup of hot or iced coffee (we won't judge) from Tom's Coffee Truck. The race is enjoyable for runners and walkers of all levels. Strollers may have difficulty with some portions of the course, such as gravel sections and over one curb.  Awards will be given to 5K finishers in Overall Male and Female, Masters, and age group categories from 9 up to 70+. Course Information: The Race will start and end on the concrete track around the football field. The course winds through multiple of the park's trails and loops around the lake. For any XC runners, it is a very similar course to the Wire2Wire XC Invitational. This great 5K/10K/ Fun Run benefits PruittCares - Camp Cocoon, which is a bereavement camp for children ages 6-17. The camp offers the children a safe environment to talk about their loved ones, ask counselors and medical professionals any questions they may have or just to let loose and enjoy the normal summer camp activities. Our hope is that this event can provide that same opportunity to adults in the community; a chance to wear something to honor a loved one that has passed away, talk to others who might have gone through similar experiences or just a chance to get together with friends and neighbors to compete on fast course, set a new PR or just to run or walk to raise money for good cause. Heroes of America Marathon/Half Marathon/5K

The Heroes of America Marathon and Half Marathon Saturday, March 21, 2026 race starts and finishes at the intersection of West 10th St and Bay Ave in front of Woodruff Park, Columbus, Ga two blocks north of the Columbus Marriott.  The full marathon runs both north and south of Woodruff Park (1000 Bay Ave) utilizing some streets including the 14th street Pedestrian Bridge onto the beautiful Riverwalk, going down and looping inside Fort Moore (AKA Benning).  The course will then exit Fort Moore (AKA Benning) at mile 17 and returns passing the Iron Works Convention Center exiting to Bay Ave to W. 9th under the train trestle and back the start/finish line.  The course is reasonably flat with some smaller inclines.  The Heroes of America 5k also starts at W 10th and Bay Ave immediately after the Half Marathon start.
