Run Oak Island - February 13th & 14, 2027 Join us for the first race of the 2027 BAM! Race Series in Oak Island North Carolina! BAM is short for #BigAssMedals and our medals do not disappoint! Oak Island is a beautiful coastal island large enough for a FULL MARATHON! We actually host 2 half marathons (East & West) that allow you to tour each end of the island (the East is competitive and the West is walker friendly). We host a flat and fast 10K and of course the 5K which are completely on the island with no elevation gain and minimal turns.  Highlights include: Lighthouse, 13+ miles of beach views along the ocean (running on the road), a bridge (on the West Half & Full Marathon) and much more! President’s Day weekend is a perfect long weekend to enjoy the beach. Average temperatures are 58 High /41 Low in February. Welcome back runners!!! THE BIG GAME 4 MILER IS SET FOR VALENTINES DAY! Celebrate the BIGGEST DAY IN SPORTS with us and represent YOUR favorite team as the Big Game 4 Miler will feature a 4-mile run and a 100-yard kids' dash. The course will start and finish outside the East gate of the Panther's Stadium on Mint St. You will hop on the Wesley Heights Greenway/Irwin Creek Greenway for a beautiful out and back before hopping back onto the Charlotte streets and finishing at the East Gate of the Panther Stadium. Participants will be HIGHLY encouraged to dress up and support their favorite football team! All teams are welcomed ;) Make it fun! Entering its 13th year, the Run With Your Heart 5K/10K/15K/Virtual is a major fundraiser for Ainsley's Angels in Eastern Carolina and Ainsley's Angels in America. This race brings both the local community and the entire nation together to promote the message of inclusion. Together, we shall accomplish so much more than we ever could alone! COURSE ROUTE Featuring a flat and fast course, it's a small-town race with a marathon style feel. The 5K Run/Walk/Roll is a welcoming course to athletes of all abilities. The route will begin and end at the beautiful Riverwalk Crossing Park located at 421 Court St and takes you through historic downtown Jacksonville, North Carolina!

Registration Is OPEN for the 2026 Run Leo road races! Run Leo is one of the premier races in the Triad with upwards of 1000 runners each year. It is the main fund raiser in support of the children of St. Leo Catholic School. Our 2027 Run Leo Road Race will be run on Saturday, March 13th.If you sign up for the virtual race, you can run it any time between the 9th and the 14th. Then, post your times and pictures by the 14th. So, come join us! Registration works the same as in years past. We will post your time on our web site and you'll get a quality t-shirt. Finally, of course, you'll show your support for our wonderful students and faculty.
