Come join us for a combined running, orienteering, and raffle event! Eight raffle ticket stations will be set-up throughout the park. Runners (and walkers) will have 60 minutes to reach as many of the eight ticket stations as they can, collect raffle tickets, and then return to the start. After collecting tickets, participants will return to the start and use their tickets to bid on over 20 raffle prizes. These include Second Sole gift cards and merchandise, local artist items, craft beer and wine, gift baskets, kids toys, and other cool stuff! Participants will choose their own route using park trail maps to reach the ticket stations. The most efficient route will cover about 5.5 miles. Enjoy a late summer, early evening race through Delaware, Ohio’s historic Northwest neighborhood. Our one-mile course starts at the top of Lincoln Avenue near the Delaware Hayes High School tennis courts. Runners will follow a straight course through a beautiful neighborhood lined with cheering spectators. The last half mile is downhill, with the race finishing in Mingo Park. The race will take place at Penitentiary Glen Reservation, offering a beautiful natural setting and a classic cross country atmosphere. This race is a 5k mud run, featuring 20+ obstacles for you to conquer! Many of the obstacles include a "challenge" side, as well as an "Xtreme" side, making our course fun for anyone! Even if you believe you fall under the "couch potato" status, our course will help you prove to yourself that you have what it takes to tackle obstacles you thought you couldn't! This event will not have age group/gender awards. We will be awarding every participant with a medal. Even though we will not have official times, you will still be able to see an overall time that you completed the race with our race clocks. With registration you will receive an event T-shirt, a wristband, and a medal! Signing up within the first 4 waves will grant the option to also run the course a second time for $5! Breakthrough for Brain Tumors 5K (BT5K) Run & Walk events, are moving to more flexible programming, where anyone, anywhere can participate. This customizable fundraising event allows the ABTA to focus on the health and safety of the brain tumor community and meet local city and state guidelines due the impact of the coronavirus. Personalized participation in the 5K events help raise necessary funds to support brain tumor research and patient programs and services.

Our 5th annual Night of Hope will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Westerville North High School Cross Country Course and McCann Stadium. The evening will feature 5K and 1 Mile races on the Westerville North Cross Country Course, and Family Fun Run around the track. The evening will promote mental health awareness and celebrate the lives of those we've lost to suicide. The evening will also feature Mental Health partners who will have information on their services and resources. This year, our Top Overall Male, Female and Non-Binary finisher will receive an award! All the money raised at the event will go directly towards supporting Westerville Education Challenge's initiatives in Westerville City Schools including: Hope Squad (at all high schools & middle schools), RoX, WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), Twinkle's Care, student scholarships, and Parent Prep. Dirt Days Trail Series - Powder Keg Saturday, August 22, 2026 9:00 am Carter Park, Deerfield Township The Powder Keg is a perennial favorite. Explore the many trails of Carter Park which is behind the Historic Kings Mansion. The course will be fun and challenging. You will do a loop that will take you to down near the Little Miami River. Follow along the river on the old abandoned King Road. Explore an old dam. Climb the "Stairway to Heaven". Race distance is listed as 3.5 miles. However, your mileage may vary. This is the sixth event of the  Dirt Days Trail Series. The Powder Keg 5K Trail Race is presented by Deerfield Township and The Arts Alliance. The Tour de Donut is a unique bicycle event, where your ability to eat donuts is just as important as your ability to ride your bicycle fast. The event is a mass start timed ride where riders visit donut stops and eat donuts. For each donut the rider eats during the ride (and keeps down) they have 5 minutes deducted from their ride time. There are prizes in several classes including  Tour de Donut championship jersey for the best adjusted "donut time". We also award the most donuts eaten in several classes.This ride is intended to be fun and include all cyclists pro to amateur, triathletes, tourist, fitness riders, fun riders, or you can dust off that two-wheeler you found along the road, or in the back of the barn you are not going to want to miss this event.While the event is a personal challenge, few consider it a serious competition, remember this is all in fun!
