The Amelia Island Runners present the: 3rd Annual Cannon Ball Run Start your new year off right by running beautiful Amelia Island on January 16, 2027. Sunrise start at Main Beach Park, 32 N. Fletcher, Fernandina Beach, FL Join the Amelia Island Runners for our 3rd Annual Cannon Ball Run on scenic Amelia Island. The fun 5k and half marathon courses will take you through the sights of Amelia Island. The final miles of the half marathon course wind through one of the most beautiful and historic roads through Ft. Clinch State Park, out past the cannons, and down to the finish line. The race will start and finish at the oceanfront Main Beach Park just steps from the sand. AIR has been the local running club on Amelia Island since 2004 and we are passionate about sharing our love of running Amelia Island. AIR is pleased to bring back the Cannon Ball Run for locals, First Coast residents, and visitors to NE Florida. We are honored to bring this historic course back to Amelia Island hosted by the local running club that runs Amelia Island every day. This course will take you through the historic and scenic sights of the island while immersing each runner in both the history and beauty that makes Amelia Island so special. The 5k is all on paved city streets. The half-marathon course is primarily on paved city streets, but does have a small segment through the Egan’s Creek Greenway. This section is grass trail. This is a virtual race open to supporters across the country who want to take action for children and families. This race is part of a larger effort to run 50 half marathons in 50 states, completing one race each month. From Jan 20th until March 17th Gulf Coast Runners and our youth team coaches will be conducting practice(s) at the Naples HS Track for our workouts on MONDAY AND WEDNESDAYS (See specific schedule below). (This is SESSION 1 - Session 2 will begin after spring break on March 27th), Coach Moomaw, Coach Barone, Coach Lauren and Coach Steven will be assisted by other members of the GCR Youth Team Staff. Our GCR Youth Team Elementary Coordinator is Lauren Osborne. Lower grades parents K-2 are expected to stay on site during the 1 hour practice. Must be able to tie shoes and be bathroom independent. The Middle School workouts, led by Elevate Training and Coach Moomaw, will be specifically geared towards athletes preparing for either the 400/800, 800/1600, or 1600/3200 (If you aren't sure, we will figure it out!) 2027 Entry Now Open The Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department is proud to host the 36th Anniversary of Tour De Cape! The event includes a 5K, a Mini Kids Ride, and 15-30-62-100 mile bike tours in the northwest and southwest regions of Cape Coral. The 5K will be chipped timed and scored by Lin-Mark Sports of Cape Coral - texted results will be available to all persons who sign up for it during the registration process. The Tour rides including the Speed Zone portion will also be timed by Lin-Mark Sports with texted results available.

Join us for the 27th annual 5K and Scramble 10K Trail Runs The 5K and 10K utilize different starts and courses!  Everything pre-and post-race is in the vicinity of the Nature Center at Lake Osprey: parking, packet pick up, starts, finish and post race. Due to the nature of the course, dogs and strollers are prohibited on the courses during the event. CANCELLATION POLICY Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of Management’s control such as a natural disaster or other emergencies. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. Management may also alter the course and distances for the safety of the athletes.
