We will be IN PERSON at North Park Boathouse on June 20th, 2026, for the annual Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma Run/Walk. We will also offer a LIVESTREAM option for teams located across the country, or for teams who are more comfortable joining us from their local communities or backyard.   WHERE: North Park Boathouse OR your local community / backyard WHEN: Saturday, June 20th, 2026 ONSITE REGISTRATION: 7:30 - 9:00am. Get ready for the First Annual ALFA Kids Triathlon on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Meadville Area Recreation Complex! Designed for ages 6–13, this fun, beginner-friendly event gives kids the chance to swim, bike, and run in a safe and supportive environment. Whether your child is trying a triathlon for the very first time or already loves being active, the ALFA Kids Tri is all about building confidence, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and celebrating every young athlete as they cross the finish line. Every participant will receive a race t-shirt, finisher medal, and the unforgettable experience of being part of Meadville’s newest youth sporting tradition! The race will be split into two age groups (6-9 years old and 10-13 years old) with separate distances. The older group will go first. We'll start with a 30-minute run or walk. There are no winners or losers. Following the run/walk we'll gather for 45 minutes of yoga. Whether you have never done a downward facing dog or you've mastered handstands, this practice is for anyone and everyone. Lastly, we'll finish with 15 minutes of guided meditation that will clear your mind and relax your body. Please join us as we come together for this fun filled and challenging experience for your mind, body and spirit. The Mindful Triathlon is a family friendly event for all ages and all experience levels, focused on wellness and community.

Ligonier's Summer Solstice 5k 1st Annual ((replacing Set Your Year On Fire 5k)) June 21 2026 9 am There is Race Day Registration starting at 8 am   INTRO: This is a direct benefit 5k for the Ligonier Borough Volunteer Fire Company all Proceeds go directly to them. This is a race themed around the Summer Solstice each year. It will be held each year the Sunday before Summer Solstice, if it naturally occurs on a Sunday it will be on the actual day. This is replacing the Set Your year On Fire 5k. With unpredictable weather, temperatures, road conditions, and not being able to clean the trail we thought it best it move it to a summer month where it be a lot safer.     BIB/SHIRT PICKUP: This will be at the trailhead at the far end of the football field where the finish line will also be.   COURSE INFORMATION: The course for the most part is a out and back style course. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA.  This GPS address will get you to the parking lot.  From the lot, walk the short paved path toward the river and make a left until you see our launch/starting point.  We are approximately 300 yards downstream from the 422 bridge.  Absolutely no parking in front of our launch area. The details are in! Time to get ready. We are joining together to Ride to the Rescue! On Saturday, June 27 we are going to join together to ride on the Panhandle Trail. It will begin and end at the Helicon Brewery in Oakdale, PA with the longest length turning around in West Virginia. You will be able to choose your ride based on your skill confidence. Choose from an approximately 3 mile family ride, 17 mile, 35 mile or 56 mile trip. Starting this year, there is a $50 fee for all distance riders to participate. The family ride will be $100 for families to register. Each distance will have a fundraising minimum to raise in addition to this registration fee. Shirt deadline 6-1-26 Hamburg Half Marathon The Hamburg Half Marathon is a fast run on the local favorite Schuylkill River Trail  (SRT). The SRT runs along the banks of the Schuylkill River. This course is extremally scenic and located in the historic area running in between the Blue Mountains and across the Appalachian Trail.  All runners will get a long sleeved tech shirt and free hot breakfast items after the race! *This year we are going to be more sustainable by switching from bottles of water at the finish line to having cold ice water with reusable plastic cups that runners can use to rehydrate.

Shirt deadline 6-1-26 Hamburg Half Marathon The Hamburg Half Marathon is a fast run on the local favorite Schuylkill River Trail  (SRT). The SRT runs along the banks of the Schuylkill River. This course is extremally scenic and located in the historic area running in between the Blue Mountains and across the Appalachian Trail.  All runners will get a long sleeved tech shirt and free hot breakfast items after the race! *This year we are going to be more sustainable by switching from bottles of water at the finish line to having cold ice water with reusable plastic cups that runners can use to rehydrate.

Whether you want to swim or kayak, we have the sprint-distance race for you. Both races start at 8 am Saturday, June 27th. The swimmers start 750m upstream and the kayakers start in the river at the transition area. After the 750m downstream swim or the 5k kayak loop, racers will ride a 10.6 mile bike course followed by a 5k run. We have one, central transition area at the Lockport Boat Launch--a truly beautiful spot for family and friends to cheer you on! In addition to deciding if you will race the swim tri or the adventure tri, when registering, you must decide if you want to race individually or with a relay team. The system is set up so that each relay team member will register separately, but using the same team name. Once your first team member registers, the others will find the team name on the dropdown menu of existing team names. The September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance is thrilled to announce the Rodale Park 12 Hour Challenge at the Bob Rodale Cycling & Fitness Park in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania. Join the Alliance on Saturday, June 27th, for a unique endurance event supporting the mission of the 9/11 National Memorial Trail Alliance. Participants are invited to challenge themselves by cycling, running, jogging, or walking laps on a beautiful, fully paved course in Rodale Park. The event will run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on a 2-mile loop, 20 feet wide, offering a safe, scenic experience with a mix of sun and shade. The course will be clearly coned off to provide separate sections for cyclists and for runners, joggers, and walkers. The details are in! Time to get ready. We are joining together to Ride to the Rescue! On Saturday, June 27 we are going to join together to ride on the Panhandle Trail. It will begin and end at the Helicon Brewery in Oakdale, PA with the longest length turning around in West Virginia. You will be able to choose your ride based on your skill confidence. Choose from an approximately 3 mile family ride, 17 mile, 35 mile or 56 mile trip. Starting this year, there is a $50 fee for all distance riders to participate. The family ride will be $100 for families to register. Each distance will have a fundraising minimum to raise in addition to this registration fee. Her untimely passing has left her loved ones with unimaginable sorrow in their hearts, for she was a beacon of love that effortlessly filled one with joy. Raeann, born to Jamie Merlino and Dawn Gazda on June 25, 2012, is remembered for her energetic, caring and strong-willed personality. She was a fifth-grade student in the Wyoming Area School District. Twirling and giggling, Rae was constantly dancing with exceptional rhythm. Her love of dance led her to cheerleading, which became a passion and outlet for her creativity and energy.
