Celebrate America's 250th Birthday and get your July 4th holiday moving with the Rotary Club of Westerville’s Independence Day 5K at 8 AM Saturday, July 4! As it has since 2021, the 5K will take place at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. Cleveland Ave. The race at the Sports Complex begins our day-long celebration of the Fourth, with our other dawn-to-dusk events including the big State Street Parade (10:30 AM), Free Concert and Food Truck Festival (5-10 PM) and Patriotic Fireworks Display (10 PM). The 2026 Myers Running Camp will be held on July 9-12, 2026. Myers Running camp is an overnight running camp located at Camp Oty’Okwa near Old Mans Cave in beautiful Hocking Hills, Ohio. Huron 5k challenge race series

Signing up for all six races cost $100 ($120-150 if you do them each individually at each race website or the day of the race), making it a little over $16 per race.  All races paid individually will be $20 online and $25 the day of the race.  The six races and dates are:  2025 Huron 5k Challenge Series .   The total runners for the Series amounted to just over 1,300 participates, which  was 216 participants per race.   The six 5k races were Huron River Run, Abbey Rose Color Run, Beulah Beach run, Huron PTO glow run, St. Pete’s Spooktacular, and the Judi Lively Turkey Dash.  Twenty-one participants finished four or more races to receive a special backpacks.  Nine of the 21 finished all 6 races and also received a $25 gift card to a local business or restaurant. Those finishing all six races were:  Shelly Carr, Lisa Frame, Brian Wagner, Connor Wagner,  Rachel Kaufman, Zander Kaufman, Sue Michos, Tori Rieman, and Shannon Sopko. Forest Frolic Trail Race & Hike

Enjoy the fantastic beauty of Findley State Park on this trail race/hike!  Experience our forests' glory in July on this curvy course around Findley Lake, including streams (bridge crossing), scenic views, and some short steep inclines and declines. The race will begin and end near our beach area parking lot. Ohio Mennonite Central Committee Run 4 Relief 1k & 5k Race

The 2026 Run 4 Relief will benefit families by helping them purchase pigs to improve their income.  For the younger crowd and those of you who enjoy a shorter distance the 1K Fun Run is for you! There will be one water station on the route at the 1.5 mile marker located at the Huron High School. This traditional annual race will be held during the weekend of Huron's River Festival. Cathy Fischer Memorial Walk and Run

Benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! CATHY'S STORY Cathy's journey with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma began in Feb 1996, six years before her official diagnosis. In1996, she raised $3200 for LLS, possibly sensing her future battle. In Nov 2011, she developed symptoms andunderwent treatment at Cleveland Clinic from 2012 to 2013, managing chemo and hair loss. She nevercomplained and continued to work full time and teaching reading to underprivileged children one day a weekduring her scheduled lunch. And she continued to run at least 20 to 30 miles per week. In Dec 2013, Cathy opted for an aggressive bone cell transplant. Despite the three-week sterile procedure, sheremained active, walking the halls, spreading smiles, and resumed work and her normal physical activities, whichincluded running, hiking, water aerobics, and yoga,post-release. 2014 brought ups and downs. Although she did not receive any further chemo, she required periodic scans andremained on medication for h
