Swain Mountain Race

Swain Mountain RaceThe Suffer Fest known as Swain Mountain Race is Back on August 1st!! SMR is a mountain/trail race that will cover approximately 6.5miles up and down the Swain Ski Slopes with nearly 2500ft of elevation gain.  This race won’t be easy but we can promise it will be epic with lots and lots of steep climbs and descents, so embrace the challenge.  The race course consists of 2 Loops, the first loop is approximately 1.8miles and climbs mile sweep.  The second loop is approximately 4.8 miles and ascends up some of Swains most challenging climbs including Clark and Upper Robinson.  Post race: cheer in runners with food, drinks, and fun!!! USATF Niagara Mountain Championships     Swain Mountain Race will serve as the 2026 USATF Niagara Open and Masters Mountain Association Championships.  The race will also be part of the 2026 USATF Niagara Runner Of The Year Series and Team Grand Prix Series.  Due to the sanctioning of this USATF event and hosting the Association Championship

Be a Part of the 14th Perinton Youth Triathlon! presented by Towpath Bike & MVPT A Triathlon for Youth Ages 7-14. Choose between 2 different distances based on skill and/or comfort level.   The Sprint Triathlon consists of a 50 yard pool swim, followed by a 2 mile bike, and finishing off with a 1/2 mile run. Need more of a challenge? Try the Double Triathlon! 100 yard pool swim, 4 mile bike, and 1 mile run. There will be a pre-race walk through for those interested Thursday, July 30 from 6:00pm - 7:00 pm at the Perinton Community Center. Meeting for the race walk-through will be held behind room 204 located in the north wing hallway. As many now know, Ron passed away on February 2, 2023, after a brief ten month battle with gastroesophageal cancer.  His family, friends, coaches, and former athletes want to continue his legacy. To honor him and continue his personal mission to the youth in our community we will be hosting Ronnie’s Way 5K on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Stephen's Run is a 6k cross country race in memory of Stephen Pangborn, a Maple Grove cross country runner who passed away in 2000 at the age of 16 after a courageous battle with cancer. Proceeds go towards the Stephen Pangborn Memorial Scholarship Fund. The race is held on the beautiful trails of Long Point State Park on Chautauqua Lake. TRENTON FISH AND GAME CLUB AUTISM AWARENESS RUN/WALK

This race (Walkers are welcome!) is all about raising money for great organizations in the Mohawk Valley and surrounding area.  The motivation for this race is to raise money for autism awareness.  All money raised will be donated to Kelberman.  Donations will also be made to the Trenton Fish and Game Club and the Utica Road Runners for their support. The race will donate money to the overall male and female race winners' charity of choice. Smith Point Sprint Triathlon

The Smith Point Triathlon starts at Smith Point County Park, with a fast 500 meter Narrow Bay swim and continues on to a flat and fast 10.2 mile bike ride over the Smith Point Bridge (TWO LOOPS THIS YEAR), followed by a scenic 5K run over the bridge ending at the Atlantic Ocean. The bike course will now be two loops on William Floyd Parkway. The safety and satisfaction of our athletes are always our top priorities. Daniel's Race

This 5K race is in remembrance of Daniel Myslivecek, who lost his battle with Melanoma at the age of 16. A friend of Daniel's organized the first 5K in 2005 to help the family with medical costs. Daniel ran in that first race and died 4 months later from his illness. The 5K has continued with the support of our community and each year the proceeds are given to a family or organization that helps children with a life-threatening illness while heightening Melanoma awareness. The Robert Van Tassel “Live the Dash” Memorial 5k sponsored by Chelsea Fire Company

An annual 5K run/walk and kids 1 mile race on the streets of Chelsea, NY located in the town of Wappingers  ( NOT the Chelsea in NYC) to benefit the Chelsea Fire Company, and The Robert VanTassel “Live the Dash” scholarship. Given to 2 Beacon High School Seniors, who show sportsmanship, integrity, and 100% commitment to his/her running goals. In 2023, we changed the name of the race to The Robert Van Tassel Live the Dash 5k. Bobby was the race coordinator from the beginning. He ran the race every year and gave the medals out at the end. He was the Fire District Commissioner, past chief, and held every office over the 40 years he served CFD. He passed on October 20, 2022. Running was his passion. He ran until his very last breath. We continue this race in his honor. “LIVE THE DASH”!!                  The race starts and ends at the fire station on Liberty St. and takes you along the Hudson River. Master Kim's 5KTKD Scholarship Fundraiser

The 5th annual MKTKD 5K event will be held Sunday August 10th at Webster park.  Our last 4 #5KTKD events have raised over $20,000 for The Taekwondo Fund! 18th Annual Rocco Laurie Memorial Staten Island Triathlon/Duathlon

Race Start Time and Location: Our 18th Annual Rocco Laurie Memorial Staten Island Triathlon/Duathlon on 8/9/26 is one of our biggest events this season, last year bringing near 400 competitors! The race is popular not only because of an expertly designed closed course, but is also an event dedicated to honoring Rocco Laurie, a Vietnam veteran and NYPD officer, who lost his life while serving his fellow New Yorkers in 1972. Larry Ambrosino, chair of the Rocco Laurie Scholarship Fund, came up with the idea for a race in Staten Island to remember his Mariners Harbor roots and friend. This is also a great race for those training for longer events later in the year, such as Jones Beach Ironman 70.3 on 9/26. NCPD Police Officer Memorial 5K Run

In 1993 the Nasau Police Running Club held a 5K run in memory of Nassau County Police Officer Gary R. Farley who tragically died in the line of duty. PO Farley was the first officer to lose his life in the line of duty since the inception of the Nassau Police Running Club in 1980. Since 1993, the Nassau County Police has tragically lost many additional members who were serving the people they were sworn to protect. The Nassau Police Running Club has vowed to ensure that these officers lives would not be lost in vain and the club is committed to making sure all members and their families know that we will never forget the sacrifice their loved ones have endured. The Nassau County Police Officer Memorial Run is held annually and proceeds from the Nassau Police Officer Memorial Run will be used to present scholarships in the names of our fallen officers.
