The Wissahickon Trail Classic was established in 2006 to highlight Wissahickon Valley Park as one of the best trail running destinations on the East Coast. Back for its 17th year, the Wissahickon Trail Classic will engage hundreds of trail runners from the region, providing a unique race experience in Philadelphia’s premier park. Benefiting Friends of the Wissahickon, funds raised through the Trail Classic will go directly back into the stewardship of the Wissahickon trail system and watershed. This course is will start and finish at Holy Cross High School and will run through the Swinak development where there is little or no traffic. The JR Taylor 5K is a family friendly event, run or walked on the Montour Trail.  It begins 800 feet north of the trail’s J. R. Taylor Memorial Bridge over Clifton Road in Bethel Park, near Washington Elementary School and Al's Cafe. We have special pricing of $15 for ages 17 and under! We have chipped timing, t-shirts, medals, snacks, and door prizes and more! Shirt and Bib Pickup is 4:30-6:00 PM on June 4th and 5th at the Bethel Park Community Center.  You can also pick up prior to 8:00 AM at the race. Get ready to run the beautiful trails of Asbury Woods with our Into the Woods 5 Miler trail race.  In this 2nd race of the 2026 season, tackle the 5-mile competitive course that includes a mix of boardwalks, packed dirt trails and single track loops.   Get the kids in on the action with a kid’s fun run that is approximately 1/2 mile. All child participants will go home with their very own medal created from a tree branch at Asbury Woods. Once again, we'll offer free childcare for potty-trained kids ages 3-10. If you are not up for a run, then you can just walk the course too.  The 5K will take place on June 6, 2026, this year which is the day before Trooper Miller sacrificed his life to save a little boy that has now grown up into a terrific young man.  So please consider participating in this event and showing the Miller and PSP family some much appreciated support!  There is a separate category for children under 12 to register for free.  BATTLE OF THE BADGES AND THE CADENCE RUN ARE BACK! All law enforcement agencies can participate. Mack’s family fought a brave battle alongside him against kidney disease—navigating special diets, IV fluids, and everything in between. While Mack eventually gained his wings, his legacy of joy and resilience stays behind. This year, every mile we clock honors Mack’s 14-year legacy and the incredible bond between a dog and his family. In Memory of Steve Fealtman: The Friends of Opossum Lake Conservancy (F.O.L.C) is honored to host this event in honor of Steve Fealtman.  Steve was a proud US Marine who served from 1981-1985.  He continued to serve his community by dedicating his time and serving on the board of F.O.L.C. for 10 years. He was an active outdoorsman who loved kayaking, hiking, biking, running and hunting  He spent countless hours enjoying nature and wildlife on the trails and water of Opossum Lake in Carlisle, PA. He also donated many hours of time working alongside volunteers on the Anglers Access Trail that surrounds the lake. In April 2019, Steve Fealtman suffered a fatal heart attack while training for a half marathon. His family, friends, comrades, and community know that Steve had always dreamed of organizing a run or hiking event around the lake.   We have organized this event to help achieve his dream and honor his legacy and name. This race will be a challenging 5K run/walk in the Tamaqua Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, PA. This will be an all thrills no frills run on the historic and scenic cemetery circa 1861 built on the side of a mountain. This cemetery is one of only 2 Victorian Garden cemeteries in Schuylkill County. The theme this year will be Red, White and Blue in honor of 250 years of America! Feel free to wear your best patriotic outfit to celebrate. There will be prizes for the top three runners and the best patriotic outfit. After the race there will be a reception with music, light snacks and refreshments.

The Watsontown JesVic 5K was started in 2007 by Shannon (Hoffman) Pyles and Suzie (Wade) Watts to honor two community women, Jessica Wade and Vicki Hitesman, who both passed away from cancer. Jessica was a blue-eyed, athletic 20-year-old, a graduate of Warrior Run High School, who pursued a college degree. Among her many goals was to run a marathon someday. The other—a former nurse who touched the lives of the patients and their families from her early days at Williamsport Hospital and Kramm’s Nursing Home. She was a survivor of Hodgkin’s disease. Her youngest son played baseball, her oldest ran cross country at Warrior Run. Vicki and her husband (who is also a runner) supported the cross-country team, and all their sons’ endeavors.Both had touched the lives of those in their community and in their workplace. Volunteer with us on for the 2026 Bike-A-Thon! The Bike-A-Thon depends on volunteers to be successful. Share your time so that no one touched by cancer has to face a cancer diagnosis alone. As an event day volunteer, you can help with event-day activities such as check-in, water stations, information, and much more. To get this year's shirt you must be registered by May 21st. Then entries will receive shirts from the past races and some extra 2026 shirts. There is no dates on the shirts by the way.  Race is located at the McDanel's Boat Launch at Moraine State park,  McDanels Road, Portersville,Pa. 16051.  Proceeds go to (PACFI) Pennsylvania Cystic Fibrosis Inc.  The race is entirely on the paved bike path with a out and back course.  Packet pickup starts at 7:00 am up till you start. Half marathon starting time is 8:30 am The 5k starting time is 9:00 am.   There are 3 water stops on the course for the half marathon. One at the 5k turn around ( 1.55 miles in ) , Half Marathon turn around 6.55 miles in , and once again at the 5k turn around 11.55 miles in.  There is bathrooms at the start/finish line area and one out on the course near mile 5. Please join Sparky the Dragon for a fun filled event with 5K race,1 mile family fun run/walk, pre-race stretch provided by a local fitness organization, playtime at the park, local food vendors, music, race sponsors, and much more! Funds raised are used for the enrichment programs and events that Devon Elementary puts on for its children thought the school year. These activities include assemblies, Arts Express Week, Cultural Arts presentations, school materials such as sports equipment, after school club scholarships, field trip support, and much more. Moosic Borough is thrilled to announce the second annual Move with Moosic 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for June 7, 2026 with a 9AM start time. The race will begin at  the Moosic Youth Center, wind down Main Street and Minooka Avenue to Felter Field, pass by the Moosic High Alumni Memorial and Edmond Piaski Park on Elm Street, travel up Spring Street to Mary Ann Nawrocki Park, and loop back around to end with a celebration back at the Moosic Youth Center.  New this year we have added a 1/4 mile kids fun run.  Children ages 10 and under are welcomed to sign up for this free event which will follow the 5k. This years event will kick off the summer in our community and all proceeds will be used to reimagine and rejuvenate our green spaces in Moosic Borough. Last year, our community came together and raised an extraordinary $45,000—and those dollars have already made a visible, lasting impact across our parks and green spaces.  As we prioritize public safety, maintaining and updating our infras

Run for the Rec is a 5k race through McKnight Village neighborhood to benefit our community-owned park! Donations go toward our long-term goal of replacing the playground, as well as short-term projects like planting trees and installing a sandbox.  Participate for fun (untimed walk) or get competitive (5k running division, and 5k rucking division). Strollers and families are welcome. For those competing for time, 53 medals will be awarded across a variety of age groups and categories.   Stick around after the race for raffles, refreshments, live music and games for the kids!    WHERE: Sunday, June 7th at 9am in the McKnight Village Rec, located at the end of Henderson Road. The Greenfield Glide runs through a hilly Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The race begins and ends at the turn-around on Overlook Drive by the Oval Park Shelter, after taking a running tour of the beautiful trails of Schenley Park through the majority of the course. Presented by the City of Pittsburgh Office of Special Events in partnership with the Greenfield Community Association.

Join us Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at 9:00 AM for the 6th Annual Stride for Pride 5K Run in partnership with Action Together NEPA.  We will be running on the beautiful Lackawanna River Heritage Trail on Olive Street in Scranton, PA. Can't make it on race day?  We will also be hosting a Virtual 5K.  Run any time on Friday or Saturday, and submit your results to our timing friends at Scranton Running Company.  The virtual race will be scored, and the results will be displayed by Monday, June 8th. A challenging 5K course through the rolling hills of Old Route 68, Needlepoint, and Dufford Roads and a picturesque 1 mile that is great for participants of all ages. The post-race celebration includes an award ceremony,  raffle baskets, 50/50, lunch, and community celebration. Top male and female finishers will have their name engraved on the Patti J.
