Seventh Annual Rudy's Runners 5K will be held Saturday June 27th - the morning of Eye to the Skies in Holgate. This race was started with the Rudy Casillas family as a memorial 5K in Rudy's honor. Rudy Casillas was an active runner and marathoner from Holgate Ohio and was seen daily running around town. The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11,2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. The annual X&A 5K and 3.21 Memorial walk is scheduled for June 27, 2026, in Deshler. As you know this event commemorates Xavier and Aidan Wensink and their passion for running. Please join us in this community event to run the streets of Deshler, on roads they ran repeatedly over the years, in celebration of their lives. The 5K (3.1 mile) race/memorial walk will take place on June 27, 2026 and starts at 8 am and begins and ends at Deshler Pirate Park with all proceeds earned going towards Wellness projects in the Patrick Henry Community. There will also be a 1 mile memorial walk for those who do not wish to participate in the timed 5K route.  Dave's Running will be facilitating chip timing technology for fast accurate results for those runners and walkers who choose to be timed. Racing at Huntington Beach in the Cleveland Metroparks Huntington Reservation is back. The Huntington Sprint Triathlon brings triathlon racing to Cleveland’s west side suburbs, giving athletes the opportunity to compete along the Lake Erie shoreline in Bay Village. 25K DISTANCE! Point to Point from Pine Lane to Oak Grove – Experience the same trails as the 50k! The Buckeye Trail 50k was started in 1994 as Joe Jurczyk’s informal birthday run/race. Joe has been running the Buckeye Trail since his college days – which predates the CVNP. The original course was an out and back starting at Oak Grove and going south to Pine Lane. It also included segments to Brecksville Road (the first course was actually longer than 50k!) The out and back course enabled all participants to see every other participant at some point along the course. While the park systems mature and routes are changed to incorporate many different needs, the allure of the Buckeye Trail 50k remains. In the first year, the event had thirteen finishers with Steve Godale and Mark Godale, both running their first ultramarathon, finishing together in first place in 5:12:18. The Full Moon Trail Series began in 2018 with a focus on showcasing select Northeast Ohio trails within the Cleveland Metro parks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Each summer, trail runners and enthusiasts compete in these weeknight trail races with distances ranging from 3-5 miles and difficulty levels from beginner to moderate. This years trail series consists of 4 events total and features a Full Moon Trail Series post-race celebration/awards ceremony.

Race date July 3rd, 2026 at 7:00pm This race is held on Friday evening of the July 4th weekend each year and is a fundraiser for the Fireworks Festival. Gnadenhutten has one of the finest fireworks displays for such a small community. Mostly flat with one “minor” hill course through historical Gnadenhutten.  Strollers and pets on a leash welcomed! The festival will be held downtown Gnadenhutten and the race will start and end at the Masonic Temple Lodge located at 112 S. Walnut St.
