Join us for a thrilling, chilling Halloween 5K like no other. This October, something spooky is coming to the storied grounds of Fort Monmouth. Join the skeleton army as it runs (or walks) through a winding path filled with surprises at every turn. A skeleton suit will be provided for all runners, but don’t let that stop you from getting in the Halloween spirit. Costumes of all kinds are highly encouraged for all participants. This will be a hand-timed event with no age or gender group awards, just beautiful scenery and exercise. The course is well marked, and we will have a water station midway. About Trail Fest:FEAR Trail Fest is a 5 mile lollipop loop trail race in Lewis Morris Park in Morristown, NJ. The course is run mostly on the Yellow Trail in Lewis Morris Park. It’s a runnable course with a mix of rocks, roots, and some good climbs totaling around 600 feet of elevation gain. The course starts with a wide section on the Patriots Path before moving to single track for the full Yellow Trail loop before traversing the short section of the Patriots Path again back to the finish. The course is meant to attract runners looking to tackle their first trail race, or an experienced veteran on the trails looking to have a fun and fast race! Hikers are welcome too, with a generous 2:30 hour time limit. Additionally, we will host course previews (see dates below) on the actual course so no one needs to go into the race blindly. Join us THIS Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026 for the 34th Annual CEA/JFI Turkey Trot. The event is NJ’s original Turkey Trot and consists of a 5K Run & 2M walk that takes participants through the historic streets of Flemington, NJ. Each year, the CEA/JFI Trot has attracted upwards of 6,000 runners & walkers who help raise funds for CEA’s employment programs that benefit hundreds of individuals with disabilities. Since 1993, we have raised much needed funds to support our mission from the generous support of our sponsors, donors, and runners.  The CEA/JFI Turkey Trot has become a family holiday tradition for generations that offers expert and novice runners alike the opportunity to spend time with family, friends, and neighbors, to raise awareness and funding for services that help coach individuals into successful jobs in their community.

Welcome back to the D&I Fitness Annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. We are so excited to be back on for 2025! Run the 5k or walk the 2 mile loop, either way, join us in this fun family event! Please join us for the 27th A8K Classic and the Tom Fleming 2K Run benefiting the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation.  Start time 8K 9:00AM, 2K 8:15AM. The 8K Run honors local hero and Olympic Champion, Horace Ashenfelter, who won the steeplechase event at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland. The 2K Run honors local hero Tom Fleming who won the 1973 and 1975 New York City Marathons. COURSE: The 8K Course is a USATF Certified “relatively flat” road course with two water stops through historic Glen Ridge. The one mile course is USATF certified; an out and run back on Ridgewood Avenue. USATF NJ Members receive a $3 discount Up until 5 days prior to the event (discount taken off during the registration process.)  To this All 8K Awards will be grab and go. Weather permitting the awards table will be in the High School parking lot other wise in the gym.

The Williamstown Turkey Trot 5K takes place at the Autumn Lake Winery. Start your Thanksgiving by burning off some calories to make up for what you will be eating later in the day!  We are very excited to host the Williamstown Turkey Trot 5K at the Autumn Lake Winery.  Awards will be given to the top 3 overall female and male finishers.  Kids 14 and under are free with entry of an adult.  Bring the family and have a fun morning together.  This is a trail run consisting of hard pack dirt trails, grassy areas, and sand.  This is a rain or shine event.  If there is rain prior to or on race day the course may include muddy areas so plan accordingly.   The race will be produced and timed by JLD Event Management and Timing (JLDEvents.com) and results will be available online. The Autumn Lake Winery will be open in the morning (for bottle sales only) so stop by and grab some bottles for your Thanksgiving dinner.
