The Sunset Run is a 5k event along Bayou Grande in the community of Navy Point in Pensacola.  The course starts and ends at St. John Catholic School and is fast and flat for participants of all activity levels.  All registered  5k participants will receive a Sunset Run shirt and a custom finish medal at the finish line, while supplies last. This is not a professionally timed race event for individual awards.  A one mile "fun run" will be held after the 5k.  The 42nd annual St. John Sunset Run is an excellent participation event for children and families to enjoy together, with a celebration of music and food following the run.     Packet pickup will be held on Friday, May 9th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at St. John Catholic School (325 S. USA Beach Running Championships is a 5k, 10K, and15k event held in Cocoa Beach Florida! The entirety of the event is run on hard packed sand during low tide. The Annual Fallen Heroes Memorial 5K run generates funds which enable our foundation to continue its exclusive purpose to meaningfully serve the past, present and future members of the Lakeland Police Department. This event was started to support The Wil-Power Foundation, Inc, which is a 503 (c) organization formed to honor the life of William Mintner through providing educational and wellness opportunities for our local communities. Wil is a former friend, son, teammate of the YMCA Wahoo's in Ocala, The Ocala Aquatics swim team (AKA the Marlins), and the Florida Southern swim team. Serving the local community since 1997, we offer assistance as a food pantry, clothing closet, and other essentials, such as temporary rent and utility assistance, to those facing difficult times while keeping families together. On Saturday, 23 May 2026, and in recognition of Memorial Day, we continue our collaboration and veteran outreach with the All-American VFW Post 12186 here in Oldsmar.
