Cincinnati is proud to be one of the select few cities to host the 2026 National Opal’s Walk for Freedom, a Juneteenth observance honoring the end of slavery in the United States and the ongoing pursuit of inclusive freedom. Opal’s Walk for Freedom, organized by the Texas-based non-profit Unity Unlimited, Inc., is led by Dr. Opal Lee, widely known as the “Grandmother of Juneteenth.” On June 19, participants in host cities across the country will walk 2.5 miles simultaneously, symbolizing the approximately 2.5 years between the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free in 1865. Dean Martin Hometown Festival: Dino Dash 5k Trail Run / Walk

Hosted by The Dean Martin Association, Steubenville Parks and Recreation, the Jefferson County General Health District and supported by The Friends of Beatty Park, this race will be run on two nature trails - the Purple and Red trails at Historic Beatty Park. Marsh Madness 10K

Come on out and run (or walk) a unique 10K race at the 1,000 acre Howard Marsh Metropark and then enjoy some post-race kayaking or canoeing. The 10K course on the gravel trails on top the marsh dikes is flat, fast, and scenic. The marsh is also home to unique plants, many types of birds, and lots of other wildlife. After the race, you can launch your kayak, canoe, or paddle board and explore the marsh's eight miles of aquatic trails for a complete "marshy" experience. Rental kayaks will be available from the Metroparks. The biking will take place on the roads to/from the park and the run will take advantage of the trails through this natural setting inside the park area. You will not want to miss this event.   The only Triathlon Relay held in Northwest Ohio is modeled after the Relay Triathlon held in the 2021 Summer Olympic Games.  Each member of the 3 person team will complete all three legs of the super sprint triathlon.  The relay will take place after the individual events are complete, allowing you to compete in both. This is a USAT Sanctioned event and age group standings will still be applied and submitted.

Dirt Days Trail Series - French Park Creek Crossings Sunday, June 21, 2026 9:00 am French Park, Cincinnati, OH   French Park originally started out in its entirety as a farm, is now one of the city's most picturesque parks. The 3.6 mile course will take runners through almost everything that the park has to offer. Starting at the top of the hill, runners will descend down into the meadow, through the tall grass, and then run the perimeter before heading into the interior of the park. The course will follow the creek and cross it several times, giving runners the option to either tiptoe over stepping stones, use log bridges, or dash directly through it. The course will then gradually rise back to the shelter and meadow where it began. Mini Triathlon in historic Chillicothe, Ohio’s downtown Yoctangee Park, 50 meter City Pool and along the bike path for a beautiful, short triathlon! 300 Meter Swim 6.2 Mile Bike 1.61 Mile Run Transition area will be in the parking lot of the pool. Participants will begin the swim at 8am the proceed to transition. Then ride West on Back Road and at the top of the hill bear right to enter the bike path, continue westward. Turn left onto Larrick Lane, following signs to continue to the bike path. However, you will turn around where the bike path resumes to the right on Larrick Lane and come back to the transition area. You will then run westward on Back Road as you did for the bike, but go east (right) on the bike path until you reach the wooden staircase on the right going down to the Pump House Museum parking lot. Turn around at the stairs and go back the way you came to finish as you re-enter the pool parking lot.  No chip timing. Only overall time, we ask that you wear a fitness track
