The Super Speeder 5K directly benefits our Shop with the Sheriff Children's Christmas program. This annual event is dedicated to help children in-need during the Christmas season. The 18th Annual Barnes Drug Store 5K Fun Run & Splash Dash will take place on July 18, 2026 at 200 South Patterson St. Valdosta, GA 31601.    All proceeds and donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000, and all funds raised and matched will benefit Sandy's House, a local organization that holds a 12 month residential faith based program. They are located in Valdosta, Georgia, and the program is set up for women ages 18 and older who are suffering from addiction. They opened their doors on March 21, 2022 and have served women broken from alcohol and drug addiction by providing housing, education, and spiritual training to enable women to rediscover who they are in Christ. Since 2009, Barnes Drug Store has raised and donated over $1 Million for our community through our annual 5k event. The Braselton Police Foundation raises funds to provide equipment and financial support to the Braselton Police Department and to individual officers in need. The Foundation is additionally working with BPD so they can expand their initiatives to institute an array of public safety initiatives. Through our public-private partnership model, we plan to pursue, privately fund and implement programming that creates a safe town for every citizen of Braselton.

7.3 Mile and 3.3 Mile Night Trail Race Hit the trails with Team Summit for a fast and challenging night race through Little Mulberry Park this July. This is the Summer companion race for our December Summit Showdown! Register for both for a discount. -8PM start for the 7.3 mile race-8:30PM start for the 3.3 mile race*Course closes at 10PM. New Path’s Weekend Food Program delivers over 450 food bags weekly to 17 schools and programs in Barrow County to be distributed to food-insecure students. Race proceeds will benefit Barrow County Schools' students in need.  This race will raise funds to support this important program.

On August 8th, 2026, an anticipated 2,000 runners, walkers, and spectators, will gather for the 2026 Vinings Downhill 5K race. The Vinings Down Hill 5K course begins at the top of Mt. Wilkinson, winds around the Cumberland Mall area, and ends at the Lovett School (280-foot net drop).  Despite the name of the race, well, it’s “not quite” all downhill…there are 3 hills to climb throughout the race – at the half-mile mark, during the second mile and during the last half-mile. There are also 3 really amazing down hill sections that make up for those climbs! There is also a Kids 1K Fun Run and a fun Doggie Dash & Costume Contest! Our event includes a huge post race party at Vinings Jubilee with awards, music, great food and expo.

About the Run for East Lake 5K & Fun Run The East Lake Foundation is thrilled to host the Run for East Lake 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, August 2nd, presented by the East Lake Family YMCA. WHAT IS LIGHT UP THE CORNERS? A glowing, flashing, blinking, shining, night time running party and fundraiser in one! This event is sure to Light Up The (Peachtree) Corners AND Light Up A Life! Proceeds from the event go to benefit at-risk children and families in our community who are struggling by giving them the chance to participate in life-enhancing programs and activities at the Fowler YMCA. The Fort Gordon Color Run 5k event is designed for people of all ages and athletic abilities. Runners and walkers alike are welcome to join in for a morning filled with color, fun, and music.
