On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the City of Beaumont will celebrate the return of Breezin’ Through Beaumont. This event consists of a 5k road race. Everyone is encouraged to come out and watch this exciting event.  The race will begin in front of the Beaumont Civic Center, located at: 550 E. Sixth St., Beaumont, CA 92223. and continue along the islands of Palm Avenue to 13th Street before returning southbound to 8th Street where the race will wind around Stewart Park before finishing back at the Civic Center. The La Jolla Half Marathon is one of America's most picturesque and beautiful point-to-point races. Starting at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, the course follows a scenic coastal route before reaching the challenging climb to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park. The course then rolls atop Torrey Pines mesa, continues down through residential La Jolla Shores, and finishes at La Jolla Cove. For those interested in a shorter option, the La Jolla Shores 5K offers a mostly downhill course and features some of the most scenic views of the last 3.1 miles of the half marathon course.

Long Beach 34th Pride Run The Shoreline Frontrunners of Long Beach are proud to host the 34th annual Pride Run along the scenic Long Beach beach path. Join us for a legendary race in the Eastern Sierra - an 8-mile uphill battle climbing 4,600 vertical feet to the historic ghost town of Cerro Gordo, once the richest silver mine in California. This is not your average run.This is a gut-check. A pilgrimage. A challenge against time, gravity, and yourself. The infamous Cerro Gordo Road was carved out in 1865 to shuttle silver down from the mountains. Now, once a year, runners race back up - chasing glory, chasing ghosts, and chasing history. The Mount Wilson Trail Race returns this year and will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026.  Race start time is 7:30 a.m., with packet pickup beginning at 6:00 a.m. that day. This will be the full 8.6 mile course from Kersting Court, up the Mount Wilson Trail to Orchard Camp, and back. Join us in donating to the Fletcher Trail Maintenance Fund, which supports our dedicated Trail Maintenance Crew volunteers with the necessary equipment, materials, supplies and tools.  Your donation is greatly appreciated and makes a real difference for this historic trail running event and community! Our History: First run in 1908, the annual Mount Wilson Trail Race is one of the oldest trail races in California. The elevation gain is over 2,160 feet on a winding course. The original path, first used by the Gabrielino Indians, was dug out by Benjamin "Don Benito" Wilson in 1864.

If you are a good runner for your age or gender, you could WIN this race! Your start time will depend on your age and gender per the table found in the link below.Custom medals will be given to the top 150 overall finishers – not based on age divisions. Vi-Tri (Visalia Triathlon) is returning to El Diamante High School in Visalia. Come out and have some fun! This USAT Sanctioned Event is a great local triathlon, perfect for the 1st timer and veteran athlete.  Super Sprint Triathlon: 400 yard pool swim, 9 mile bike, 2.2 mile run. Participants get a shirt, cool finisher's medal, and a post race meal. Volunteer to earn discounted or free race entries.

Join this family-friendly 5K and run through Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary’s annual Thousand Flags Memorial Day weekend display. This awe-inspiring annual event showcases over 1,000 American flags on display at The Park at River Walk to honor those we have lost. There will be a 5K course and a one-mile memorial walk. The 5K course winds its way through the scenic flag adorned park and down the multi-use trail adjacent to the park, and is suitable for both runners and walkers. Proceeds will support the Thousand Flags event and other Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary community projects. The events will be timed and awards will be given for the top three 5K finishers in each category. Register by May 3rd, 2026 to ensure you receive a Thousand Flags T-shirt. All veterans participating in the event will be recognized with a complimentary Thousand Flags pin.

What better way to launch Music in May’s 19th season than by launching a new festival event hosted by the legendary Bookshop Santa Cruz? Think of these string orchestra community pop-up concerts as an impromptu classical “reading party” among new and old friends. There will be 2 performances on May 27, 2026. The first pop-up concert is from 11:00-11:30 a.m. and the second is from 12:00-12:30 p.m. featuring members of the Ensemble San Francisco String Quartet alongside local talent, each with a distinct program for strings and a different 19-member ensemble of musicians. A 30-minute “intermission” provides an opportunity for musicians and friends to connect and engage with one another.
