The VA Super Tri is a fun, unique spin on the traditional sprint triathlon.  We took a sprint triathlon and broke it up into five mini triathlons (125m swim – 2.4mi bike – 1k run) which are completed back-to-back.   Youth Participants:  Youth will have their own race and complete just two loops of the same course.   Relay Participants:  Each relay team member will alternate running loops. One participant will complete a loop, then pass off to the next team member, who will complete the next loop. This pattern continues until all five loops are completed. This is a great way for a new triathlete to get the experience of five triathlons in one with multiple transitions, and the experienced triathlete to challenge themselves with something new!  Plus, the entire event is super spectator friendly with athletes never further than 1 mile away.

In 1999, The Allen Stone Braveheart Memorial Races started as the Braveheart Run Swim Run, to benefit the American Heart Association.  Allen Stone, a local Navy SEAL, and friend of the race committee, raced and won his age group. Tragically, Allen died in a SEAL training accident just a few months later. The race committee decided to rename the race in Allen's memory.  Since then, the race has added a 5K and a kids 1 mile race to have something for everyone in the family. This event has raised over $1 million for our charities, the Navy SEAL Foundation, Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, and the Virginia Beach Lifesaving Association while honoring those that have made the ultimate sacrifice and their families.

Set in the scenic Shenandoah Valley near the friendly town of Luray, Virginia, the 21th Annual Luray Triathlon offers a fun-filled, challenging multi-sport weekend.  NEW for 2026, both the Sprint & Olympic races will be held on same day - Aug 16, 2026. The RVA Sprint Triathlon is Richmond’s only pool sprint triathlon. Hosted by the Rockville Center, this race is set in beautiful Rockville, VA. Participants will enjoy a short pool swim, rolling rural bike, and fun out-and-back run course.  This event includes a classic sprint triathlon, kid’s splash & dash (swim-run), and new this year we will also have a shorter beginner-only race for first-time triathletes only.  Prefer to not swim or run?  No problem as we have both duathlon (run-bike-run) and aquabike (swim-bike) options.  The RVA Sprint Tri will feature a “seeded” race start with the top 12 seeded women starting approximately 7 minutes ahead of the top 12 seeded men to set up an exciting battle of the sexes to cross the finish line first! Please join us for Weber City's first community event of its kind. The 9.11 Remembrance Run-Walk-Ruck. Proceeds will go to Weber City Fire Department to support training/certification costs, gear upgrades, and other expenses for the town's 100% volunteer-based organization. On Saturday, 9/5/26 @ 9AM, run, walk, or ruck 3.43 miles. Ruck as you wish, whether this is with a weighted vest, hiking pack, or full firefighting gear. Why 3.43 miles instead of the typical 5k distance of 3.12 miles? 343 is the number of New York City Fire Department lives lost on 9/11/2001 and is a meaningful number in traditional 9/11 memorial events. We will remember the events and most importantly our fellow Americans who did not make it home. After announcements we will have speaker Andrew Catron of Bristol's 9/11 Stair Climb followed by a flag-raising ceremony performed by Dobyns-Bennett JROTC. Start and Finish line will be at Weber City Elementary. First place overall female and male will be recognized (cool prize-a very nice dash cam- courtesy of Thrifty Dudez). A unique finisher medal will be given to all participants. T-shirts included in registration. Depending on the number of sign-ups, we may have additional shirts for sale at the event. PARKING AND COURSE INFORMATION Primary parking will be Gateway Baptist (SET GPS FOR 155 Shady Elm Lane, Weber City, VA) about a 0.25 mile walk to the start line. Volunteer parking and handicap parking may use the elementary school parking lots- however if you park in these lots you will need to stay until the event is FINISHED in order to keep traffic off the course while participants are using the road. As of now the course will not be closed to residential traffic, but this may change and will be updated if so. There will be emergency vehicles at main entry points to the course, and traffic will be advised to drive slowly and be aware of runners. Headphones- if using please leave one earbud out or use bone conduction headphones to increase traffic awareness. GROUPS of runners/walkers and strollers, please be mindful that the short section of sidewalk we will be on is narrow so please keep right and leave room for passing on your left. The course will loop several times on nearby residential streets - you will pass the same aid station several times. A map will be posted prior to event date. The Odyssey Trail Running Rampage will bring in Fall with four great trail running races: the 50K Ultra, the Marathon, the Half Marathon, and the Six-Miler. These trail races will give athletes the opportunity to run on some of the best trails in the Southeast at a gorgeous state park nestled in the mountains of Virginia, Douthat State Park. The Shorefire 25K and 10K take runners on a scenic tour linking the Smith Mountain Lake State Park trail system. The park’s stunning lake views are easy to enjoy thanks to well-maintained doubletrack trails, with open stretches of shoreline and a variety of native forest terrain. Flat, fast sections are balanced with several punchy climbs to keep things interesting. 25K: The 25K course starts and finishes at the Beach Pavilion. The first 0.2 miles heads up the main parking lot and along the road, giving runners space to spread out before turning right at the Playground parking lot and heading into a flat, runnable section of doubletrack trail. Overall, the course is fast and mostly nontechnical, with a little over 1800 feet of elevation gain spread across rolling hills. The biggest challenge may not be the terrain; it’s resisting distraction from the beautiful lake views along the way.
