The 48th Annual Possum Trot 10K and Fun Run will have a virtual and in-person registration option.  The in-person race is a Fun, Flat and FAST course along the banks of the Chattahoochee River!  The race is an important Community event for CNC and the proceeds benefit environmental education programs focused on the Chattahoochee River and watershed. The course begins at the Investment Centre at CBC Bank, heads through Country Club Road and Drive, into Bellemeade Drive, turn around at the St. Andrews circle, and back to the Investment Centre. The Historic Hartwell 5K will start at Hart County High School (Herndon Stadium) and showcase some of the City of Hartwell throughout the course. Runners will make their way back to Herndon Stadium to finish the race.  Race proceeds will go toward providing an Apple iPad to two graduating seniors in the class of 2027 from Hart County High School.

The 2025 Lake Burton Fun Run will take place on July 5th (Saturday of the fireworks)!   The gun goes off at 9AM sharp at Moccasin Creek State Park, so please give yourself ample time to park at Laprade's Marina and grab a shuttle (hay ride) to the starting line. Car-pooling and boat travel is STRONGLY encouraged. We'll see you at the starting line! Snake Day 2.2 Miler  July 16  Clover Glove Race Series - All proceeds support 4-H.  Each year, tens of thousands of students learn about snakes as part of 4-H Environmental Education at Georgia 4-H Centers each year. Get a glimpse of the classes: Georgia 4-H Herpetology. Learn more about snakes: Georgia Snakes  Clover Glove celebrates as many holidays as possible. Snake Day is on our annual list. We considered offering a 5K. A five looks somewhat like a snake. 22nd Annual Pink Ribbon 5k Run/Walk Saturday, July 18, 2026IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL! Sisters By Choice (SBC) will hold our 22nd Annual Pink Ribbon 5k Run/Walk fundraising event.  You will have the option of participating in person or virtually.  In person participation will be at Piedmont Park on Saturday, July 18th starting at 8am.  Virtual participation can be conduct at YOUR own location between July 17th and July 19th.   100% of the proceeds from the event will still go towards the operational cost of Sisters By Choice Mobile Breast Clinic.    Sisters By Choice has been on the forefront of addressing disparity surrounding breast cancer. My Sister's Place will be the beneficiary of this event this year!  My Sister's Place is a Christ-centered shelter that restores hope for single women and mothers with children who are experiencing homelessness. Our program helps rebuild stability by providing a loving and welcoming environment, spiritual growth opportunities, community connections, and life skills training to support the journey to housing independence.   We raised $50,000 last year for Love Your Story! It is amazing to see the community come together to support a great cause.
