FIRA USA Fun Run 5K Thursday, October 22 7:30 a.m. Start Lace up your running shoes and join us for the FIRA USA Fun Run 5K! Whether you're a seasoned runner, casual jogger, or just want to enjoy a morning walk with friends, this event is all about having fun, connecting with fellow attendees, and enjoying the beautiful Yakima Greenway. The race will start and finish at the Hansen Building, with a scenic route along the Yakima Greenway. After crossing the finish line, stick around for a relaxed social gathering featuring local refreshments. It's the perfect opportunity to network, catch up with industry friends, and sample some of the great flavors our region has to offer. Bring your coworkers, family, and friends, and kick off your day with fresh air, great company, and a little friendly fun! On February 27, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities will gather at Sarg Hubbard Park to brave the cold, get moving, and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Whether you're a seasoned runner chasing a new personal best, a casual walker looking for a fun Saturday morning activity, or somewhere in between, there's a place for you at the Cold for a Cause 5K. Come race, walk, laugh, and maybe shiver a little—all while supporting Yakima Union Gospel Mission and its work to help people move from homelessness toward wholeness. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring your warmest gear. Because when we come together, we can turn a cold day into an opportunity to bring hope, shelter, and care to our community. Join us for one of the Pacific Northwest's most scenic Boston Qualifiers. Our marathon and half marathon point to point courses travel through the spectacular Yakima River Canyon on a USATF Certified course along paved Washington State Route 821 between Ellensburg and Selah, WA.    Awards: We will offer overall and age-group awards this year. Awards will be distributed in real time at the finish line -- check for results at nsplit.com/results.  Details below.   Cutoff Times: We will enforce cut-off times this year. Those who feel that cannot complete the race comfortably in seven hours are urged to contact the race director and ask for the early start, which is two hours before the 8 a.m. regular start. We offer the early start for those anticipating they will be on the course for six-and-a-half hours or more, and the race director must approve your participation in the early start. Early starters are not eligible for age-group awards, which are handed out in real time at the finis

Run for Your Life (R4YL) is an annual charity Fun Run/Walk & Community Fair organized by the students of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU). First launched in 2011 on the university’s Terrace Heights campus, RFYL has grown into a cherished tradition that brings together students, families, and the greater Yakima community. As future health professionals, PNWU students are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering community well-being. RFYL offers a flat, easy course that’s accessible to all ages and fitness levels, making it a fun and inclusive event for everyone. More than just a run, RFYL is a family-friendly, safe, and health-focused celebration that allows students to give back to the region they hope to serve. All proceeds support PNWU scholarships, helping students from rural and medically underserved areas receive the education and training needed to return and care for their communities. Wilridge Winery is the "Greenest Winery" in Washington and is proud to be the first certified Organic, Biodynamic and Salmon Safe vineyard and winery in the state. The Dye Hard 5K is an untimed nighttime running event that provides participants with an opportunity to have fun with friends and family while getting covered in fluorescent colored powder in the dark, under the glow of black lights. And don't forget about the post-event party with music, dancing and a colored foam pit!
