Please join us for our 9th annual Live Like Lukas 5k Run/Walk! All proceeds go to the battle against childhood cancer, either through family financial support or research grant funding. We can't wait to see you there!

1Lt Mark Dooley Race of Remembrance is a 5k race/walk in honor of 1LT Mark Dooley's service to our country, state and community. This race is a community event sponsored by our local businesses and the Wilmington Police Department. All proceeds from this event are used to support Mark's memory by giving back to the community.  One such community endeavor is the 1LT Mark Dooley Scholarship awarded to a Twin Valley High School Senior. Race timing will be by Granite State Race Services. The 1Lt Mark Dooley Legacy Fund Inc. is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3).

This Race is Rain or Shine! Let's all keep our fingers and paws crossed for good weather.    You're invited to Faithful Friends Animal Society's 16TH ANNUAL 5K & Mutt Mile on Sunday, September 27th at Bellevue State Park. Not only is this our biggest fundraising event of the year, it's also the LARGEST dog-friendly race in Delaware! Swim The Loop starts and finishes at the Dockside Restaurant, which is located on Airlie Road (Wilmington side of the Intracoastal Waterway). The race will start at a high tide to ensure an even, but challenging tide pattern throughout the 3.5-mile swim. Don’t be fooled though; there will be times of incoming tide, falling tide and some slack tide. Mott’s Channel Sprint starts at the Trailborn Surf & Sound, located on Wrightsville Beach, and finishes across the intracoastal at the Dockside Restaurant on Airlie Road. The course is approximately 1.3 miles long and is a point-to-point swim. The race will start at a high tide to try and ensure a slight incoming to slack tide throughout the 1.3-mile swim.

This special race, run in memory of siblings Jonathan Bacon Smith ’83 and Wendy Smith McMillan ’77, benefits the financial aid endowment named for them.  Long Sleeve T-shirt for all Pre-Registered Persons The race will kick-off Homecoming Weekend at WFS on October 24, 2025. Come run through this beautiful wooded area with rolling hills, gullies and the occasional creek crossing. You will be prancing along in a canopied forest that often parallels the serene Caesar Creek Lake with few companions save for magical woodland creatures.
