The Lewis County Senior Citizens Center, a non‑profit organization dedicated to supporting older adults in our community, proudly presents our annual 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser—a key event in our March for Meals campaign. Each March, we join communities nationwide in raising awareness and support for senior nutrition programs. Your participation in this event helps ensure local seniors receive nutritious meals, friendly visits, and vital services that help them remain healthy and independent. Last year, thanks to supporters like you, our Center provided: 27,000 Home‑Delivered Meals10,400 Congregate Meals served at the CenterThese programs are lifelines for so many in Lewis County, and your involvement directly strengthens them. &#x

Do you enjoy running in charitable events that benefit the local community?  Do you like a challenging road race?  Or do you like an easy stroll?  If you've said yes to any one of these, then our event is one you need to do!  Please join us for the Kirk Rd Krusher 10K and McLean Mile and 5K hosted by Run Oregon, an event for the entire family!  This road race is a FUN run/walk designed to create an environment that promotes physical fitness.  A portion of the proceeds generated from this event will be donated directly to the Weston Food Pantry, the named beneficiary for this inaugural fun run.  This event will be manually timed, our primary goal is to create a fun experience for runners/walkers and raise funds for the local food pantry. The Weston Food Pantry is open for anyone who is food insecure twice each month.  The Weston Food Pantry helps anyone who comes to the pantry and says that they need food, in December they served 100 families who needed food!  The Weston Food Pantry

WHY WE RUN!Susan McDaniel, an avid athlete, actress, and equestrian, was a student at Lovelane throughout her two-year battle with cancer. Susan showed us how to defiantly live life. When surgery took the coordination in her right hand, she learned to write with her left. When treatments left her too exhausted to ride, she took joy in stable chores and teaching other students. Susan’s family spearheaded the Run in her memory to ensure all families have access to Lovelane’s unique and effective therapy. All proceeds from the Run support Lovelane’s Tuition Assistance Program, so that all children in need can receive the highly beneficial therapy at Lovelane regardless of their family’s financial situation. The race begins at the Weston Water Tower. Participants will run/walk through the gentle rolling hills of the Bohemian Alps from Weston to the original location of Troy. All pre-registered participants will receive a Trot to Troy T-shirt (must be registered by June 1). Participants will be running in conjunction with the Weston 150 celebration.
