This walk/run is to raise awareness about food allergies within our community and further! This years funds will be used to help cover the cost of the event and for a scholarship through the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Food and Nutrition program. The scholarship will be rewarded in 2027. There will be raffle baskets available at the walk inside the shelter cash only.

Basic Skills (Tues/Wed/Thurs format) - Sessions 1 & 2 (6-12 years old) CHOOSE ONLY 1 SESSION CWOCC Youth Ride Program is led by volunteers including coaches and athletes from Wausau United Ride for ages 6-12 years old. CHOOSE ONE of our 3-day sessions to teach youth basic mountain bike riding fundamentals and enjoy small group rides. Ready to ride at 6:00 pm, finishing by 7:15 pm. This weekend is intended for women that are interested in mountain biking but don't know where to start or for those that have started but feel they are missing something in knowledge/skill/technique that makes the ride enjoyable. Certified and experienced coaches are excited to guide you through your learning experience and allow you to make some riding friends along the way.  Required: Mountain bike (with flat pedals preferably) and helmet. All other gear optional, but recommend gloves and eye protection. Also, water bottle or hydration pack.   Schedule (subject to change): Friday Location: Nine Mile County Forest Recreation Area, 221700 Red Bud Road, Wausau, WI 54401 5:00pm – 6:00pm – Check-in. Get your bike ready for the weekend ahead. 6:00pm – 6:30pm – Dinner (included with registration)6:30pm –8:00pm - Meet your coaches. As a part of the Wausau 24 weekend of events, Wausau Trail Run utilizes the single track mountain bike and ski trails at Nine Mile Recreation Area to host a 5K, 10K, and 20K trail run (Each runner will run 1, 2 or 4 Laps on our course which is approximately 5K).  Be prepared for twists and turns, roots and rocks! Experience the 15th Annual Wausau Marathon! Join us on Sunday, August 23th, 2026, for a wonderful race experience. The Wausau Marathon features a Marathon, Half Marathon, and a free 5K, offering something for every runner. The course takes you over the stunning Wisconsin River and through some of the most scenic parts of the region. Runners from across the country join us each year, making this a truly special community event. The course is USATF certified and can be used as a Boston, Chicago, and New York Marathon qualifier. The cutoff for the Boston Marathon is the middle of September, making the Wausau Marathon one of the last opportunities to qualify for next year's race. 9.5% of our field qualified in 2025!

The Big Bull Falls Grand Fondo is not a race, but rather a chance for riders to challengethemselves while enjoying the ride at their own pace. The routes include scenic, rurallandscapes of Central Wisconsin with three course lengths to choose from – 35, 73, or 101miles. Riders tailor their experiences to their preferences and abilities. There will also be atimed Strava segment in the 101-mile ride, with special awards for top finishers.This fully supported ride includes four rest stops, SAG support, a meal served after the ride, anda Strava-segment award presentation. We have many volunteers who are dedicated to ensuringeveryone has a safe and enjoyable experience from start to finish.In addition, profits from our ride will go to support the Bridge Street Mission and NAMINorthwoods.

Please join us on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 for our 5K Color Run/Walk through the beautiful streets of Rib Mountain! This event will help raise money to support The Hagar House and its mission to help free single mothers from cycles of crisis through a Christ-center community. As always, this event will be Kid & Stroller friendly so please bring out the whole family to enjoy and help support a great cause, but please leave your furry friends at home. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you on 9/19/26! Registration will be open until midnight on 9/18/26; however, if registering on or after 9/5/26, a T-shirt may not be guaranteed, so please register early and reserve your appropriate size! Join the Town of Wausau Fire Department for their third annual 5k! Help support a volunteer fire department while also having fun with your friends and family. Register online or in person the day of. Register by 9-5-25 to be guaranteed a shirt. In person registration goes from 9am-930am. Race is at 10am and kids race is to follow. After the 5k, race participants receive a beverage of their choosing! Pet friendly, but must be on a leash.  Come support a good cause!
