Join PATH as we kickoff the Lavaman weekend with the Lavaman Waikoloa Sunset 5k. This family friendly event takes you along a portion of the Lavaman run course and is a fundraiser for PATH-People for Active Transportation Hawaii. We start and finish at the Waikoloa Queen's Shops near the new Tommy Bahama's Restaurant.

LavaKids Aquathon is a swim/run event on the Saturday before the Lavaman Triathlon. It takes place in a protected lagoon at the Hilton Waikoloa Beach Resort. Short course for ages 7-10: 100 meter swim, 1k run. Long course for ages 11 - 14: 200 meter swim, 2k run. Keiki Dash is a 1k run for kids 6 and under. Lavakids is an 501c3 nonprofit organization. All event revenue goes to support youth development in sport in the local communities of Hawaii Island.

The 28th Annual Lavaman Triathlon consists of a 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and a 10K Run. The Duathlon consists of a 1k run, 40k bike and 10k run. The Aquabike consists of a 1.5k swim and 40k bike. Lavaman takes place in beautiful Anaeho’omalu Bay, the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway and on the grounds of the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii, with a beautiful beach finish and the "best party in triathlon.
