Redwood Shelter Park Cleanup

To show our appreciation of Waco and all the great places it offers us to run, the Waco Striders Run Club has partnered with the City of Waco and Keep Waco Beautiful, Inc. and adopted the Redwood Shelter through the Keep Waco Beautiful, Inc.'s Adopt-A-Park Program. As part of our participation, the Waco Striders Run Club hosts at least one event per quarter to pick up trash around the Redwood Shelter in Cameron Park. We meet at the Redwood Shelter Pavilion on either Wednesday night or Saturday morning following our scheduled group runs for those days. Cleanup usually lasts about 30-40mins or however long it takes to clean up the park. Also, food and drink is provided for those that volunteer.

The Down n' Dirty Trail Run is the second race in the Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series. Each racecourse (3K and 8K) runs through the trails on the rolling hills in Cameron Park. As you are running on trails with names like Powerline, Slinky, Mix Master, and Vortex, you may discover how they got their names. Fluffle Shuffle 2026: Parker's Purpose Foundation

Please join us for the 4TH annual Fluffle Shuffle!!  We usually host our walk in October for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month/Day, but the universe had other plans last year! So even though the date is different, the purpose is still the same. We will be walking to remember all babies and honor their families. This fundraiser will help Parker's Purpose Foundation continue to support loss families in Central Texas. It will help us provide Caring Cradles, stuffed bunnies, care packages, and more.  We look forward to honoring the babies and families alongside you.  We encourage all walkers to bring their remembrance item for their baby to the event. Healthy Kids Running Series Spring 2026 - Waco, TX

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways.
