Benefit Ride for Walker and Colton Supporting a Waco's Cyclists, beloved members of the community in their time of need. 100% of the proceeds go to the families.   Bring your family over, if they are not riding, they can come and participate in the blood drive happening in front of Trek store in Waco from 11am to 4pm.

To show our appreciation of Waco and all the great places it offers us to run, the Waco Striders Run Club has partnered with the City of Waco and Keep Waco Beautiful, Inc. and adopted the Redwood Shelter through the Keep Waco Beautiful, Inc.'s Adopt-A-Park Program. As part of our participation, the Waco Striders Run Club hosts at least one event per quarter to pick up trash around the Redwood Shelter in Cameron Park. We meet at the Redwood Shelter Pavilion on either Wednesday night or Saturday morning following our scheduled group runs for those days. Cleanup usually lasts about 30-40mins or however long it takes to clean up the park. Also, food and drink is provided for those that volunteer.

Whether you are a walker, a beginning runner, or a runner with a time goal, the Waco Women's Training Program will help you achieve your fitness goal. Program Details Each weekly session will start at 6:00 p.m. with a group run lead by motivated and experienced group leaders. The group runs are tailored to help you progress to reach your personal goal. At the conclusion of the run, you will have the opportunity to listen to exciting speakers on fitness related subjects to learn different ways to stay fit. The Down n' Dirty Trail Run is the second race in the Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series. Each racecourse (3K and 8K) runs through the trails on the rolling hills in Cameron Park. As you are running on trails with names like Powerline, Slinky, Mix Master, and Vortex, you may discover how they got their names. Notes: Dogs and baby joggers are not allowed on the course for safety reasons.

Please join us for the 4TH annual Fluffle Shuffle!!  We usually host our walk in October for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month/Day, but the universe had other plans last year! So even though the date is different, the purpose is still the same. We will be walking to remember all babies and honor their families. This fundraiser will help Parker's Purpose Foundation continue to support loss families in Central Texas. It will help us provide Caring Cradles, stuffed bunnies, care packages, and more.  We look forward to honoring the babies and families alongside you.  We encourage all walkers to bring their remembrance item for their baby to the event. We want to recognize all those that should be with us. ***NOTE: Walk is open to all ages! This is a family event! Children 14 and under are free and do not need to register! ****

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.  High School: We also welcome our High School runners! Our high school students will be running a 2 mile race.  Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. The Unbound Now Light Up The Dark 5K Presented by Chick Fil A is a fun, family-friendly “glow-in-the-dark” run to raise money and awareness for the anti-human trafficking work of Unbound. This annual event is fun for everyone, whether you’re a slow walker or a professional runner! This year, we are offering in-person and virtual options to participants to fight human trafficking in Waco, Texas, and around the world. Build a team, set a goal, and raise funds on the side to end human trafficking!  IN-PERSON: Join us at Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas on April 18, 2026, for a night of fun and wild experiences. The Waco Police Memorial Run is held each year to commemorate those officers killed in the line of duty and to recognize the daily commitment of officers to our community and Nation. This is a family fun event that will consists of a 5K run or walk. Location will be Redwood Shelter Cameron Park 2300 Cameron Park Dr. Waco, TX 76708. This will be a chipped race! Race is hosted by the Waco Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, along with the assistance of Pro-Fit Race Timing.

The racecourse for the Best 5K on the Brazos is a flat and scenic course that runs along the Brazos River from Indian Spring Park. Take this opportunity to possibly set a personal record for the 5K. This is the target race for the Waco Women's Training Program. So, please come out and support them as this will be the first 5K race for many of them. The 5K awards will include medals for the top overall male and female and for the first 3 male and female finishers in 5 yr. age categories from 14 and under to 65 and over.
