Utica Roadrunners Boilermaker Training Program (BTP)

WELCOME! This is the official sign up page for the 2026 Boilermaker Training Program. We offer training programs for both the 5k and 15k distances. Our goal is to get you across that finish line for your first time, your next time, or your best time. This program is FREE for current Roadrunner members and $25 for those who are not. Our FIRST DAY is Saturday, February 28th, 7:30am @ The Sneaker Store in New Hartford. We will gather indoors, but all running will be OUTSIDE this year - so please dress accordingly! We will plan to run the first 6-8 weeks from Forte and then switch to the Parkway Rec Center. Other starting locations may be used as well, so watch your email for details each week. This event is coached by the Utica Road Runners, and will be led by Erik Winberg and Peter Angelini and Amanda Hartnett with ongoing help from many Utica Roadrunners members, leaders, and race directors. We will be offering Two Training Levels to choose from for both the 5k and 15k.  Level 1-- F

Save Our Switchbacks Presented by Utica First Insurance

The Ted Petrillo Save Our Switchbacks Saturday, April 18th, 2026 9:00AM start time This is a 7.5K (4.66mi) road race and the long standing Utica Roadrunners kick-off event for the race season. This year we are pleased to be partnering with the Utica Zoo again to end our course through Zoo property and will be bringing back the 1/2 mile kids fun run! Help support the South Woods Trails Project while running "Half a Boilermaker" A Utica Roadrunners Grand Prix Event **Miss the sign-up?? MMRI's 3rd Annual Lupus Walk

MMRI is excited to announce its third annual Lupus Walk on Saturday, May 9, 2026, held in partnership with Lupus & Allied Diseases Association, Inc. (LADA). This fun, family-friendly event invites participants of all ages and abilities to choose between a 5K walk/run or a 1-mile walk/run, making it easy for everyone to get involved. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring your family and friends together for a great cause. The Summer Sizzle presented by Utica First Insurance

Runners: The Utica First Summer Sizzle is back and hotter than ever in its 38th year! Join in on the fun and celebrate Father's Day on June 21st as the Sizzle Five Mile road race returns to Proctor Park and the Masonic Care Community!  We will be following all city, state, and federal guidelines to hold a safe race for all our participants. We will also be offering a Virtual an option for runners who would prefer to do the 5 mile distance on their own. There will be no refunds or deferrals into 2027.   The Summer Sizzle has a long-standing tradition of being a family event. To celebrate Father's Day we will have multiple divisions for families to compete in for special awards and prizes. What do you get? Utica National Kids Run

Join us for the Utica National Kids Run! This exciting run for kids between the ages of 4 & 12 will be held on the Utica campus of Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) as part of the Boilermaker's Health & Wellness Expo presented by MVHS on the morning of Saturday, July 11, 2026. Registration opens at 10:00am on Friday, May 01, 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on Friday, June 19, 2026   Packet Pickup:This year, race packets, T-shirts, and safety bracelets will be available for pickup on Friday, July 10, from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. during the Boilermaker Health and Wellness Expo in the Performance Gym at the Jorgensen Center of the MVCC campus.

Boilermaker Walk presented by Slocum-Dickson Medical Group

BOILERMAKER WALK 2026 START:  11:00AM END:  1:00PM   DISTANCE:  The "out and back" course is approximately 3 1/2 milesWalk whatever distance you are comfortable withCourse will have signage with distance markings to help you determine your turnaround decisions if 3 1/2 miles is too much   The Boilermaker Walk presented by Slocum-Dickson Medical Group is a great way to get out & moving while being a part of the Boilermaker Experience!   The course is designed to allow you to make your own distance decision. The complete out and back is approximately 3 1/2 miles, but we will have turnaround signage at key points notating the distance from each points for you.   The walk will start and finish from the beautiful MVCC Utica campus and make its way along Culver Avenue and into T.R. Proctor Park and then on to F.T. Proctor Park. The course highlights Utica's Parks which were funded by the Proctor family and designed by the Olmsted's (Frederick Sr. & Jr.). You can learn

Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Central NY

What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers Run/Walk & Climb Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, please visit www.t2t.org. We are now the T2T 5K run / walk event for all of Central New York, including Utica, Syracuse, Watertown, Binghamton, and surrounding areas. Sitrin Riggie Run & Walk

For more than ten years, the Sitrin Health Care Center’s Annual Stars & Stripes Run & Walk for our Nation’s Heroes has served as the primary fundraiser for Sitrin’s Military Program. This unique program provides comprehensive, complimentary care to post-9/11 veterans and service members affected by post-traumatic stress, suicidal ideations, traumatic brain injuries, depression, and other combat-related conditions. In addition to innovative treatment, Sitrin offers the Military Civilian Coalition, designed to promote camaraderie, advocacy, educational opportunities, and transitional support to civilian life. The group meets at various locations in the community and enables veterans and civilians to interact through social and athletic endeavors.
