Stomp Out Human Trafficking 5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk is a perfect option for serious runners and families, children or walkers!  Run as an Individual or in a Team of 3. What does the Tampa Firefighters 15th Annual Firefighters 5K event benefit?100% of the proceeds of our Annual Pediatric Burn Survivor 5K/1 mile Fun/Run benefits Camp Hopetake,  a week-long summer camp we host in Tampa for previously burned children of all ages.  Camp Hopetake provides a safe and supportive environment for kids to share their feelings and interact with other young burn victims from all over Florida. The camp is free of charge to all the who attend. The Dogs Inc's MacDill's Paws for Heroes 5k promises to be a fun event. It features chip timing on an accurate, but not certified 5k course in a scenic Tampa (Gadsden) park. Runners (and virtual runners) will receive both a shirt and finisher's medal. The cost to provide a guide dog for a veteran with a visual impairment or a service dog for a veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder is tens of thousands of dollars, yet veterans receive these extraordinary dogs at no cost. The Unlock the Ties That Bind 5K Run & Walk is an empowerment and advocacy event organized by Going Into Pieces Movement Inc. Participants come together to symbolize resilience, healing, and the power of moving forward despite life’s obstacles. The event also helps generate support for the organization’s men’s emotional well-being initiative, 3rd Eye Anchored. Men can and do experience sexual assault, human trafficking, and various forms of abuse. These issues often receive less attention due to societal stigmas, stereotypes, and misconceptions about masculinity. This year the Arutisuse Run will focus on diabetes education and awareness months prior to the race and culminate with the 5K walk/run celebration.  Arrive by 7:30am to get your groove on and participate in our line dance warm up.  All registered participants will receive a t-shirt, bib, finisher medal and photo.
