Maxton Gudowski 5K Memorial run/walk

Superior, WI
5K Run/Walk in honor of Maxton Gudowski with race proceeds going to Mentor North. We're hosting the third annual Maxton Gudowski 5K Memorial Run/Walk. Maxton was tragically taken from us on July 25th, 2024. Maxton was an avid runner when he was younger and was always loving, caring, and willing to help anyone in need. We feel this is a suitable way to memorialize him. Each year we will be choosing a few different nonprofit organizations to spread Maxton's love and kindness on his behalf. This year, all proceeds from the online race registration will go to Mentor North a nonprofit organization based in Duluth,Mn/Superior, WI. We will also be having an onsite raffle on the day of the race, with proceeds from the raffle going to The Ruth House. We are also seeking sponsors to help cover race expenses. If you would like to donate to help fund the race please email maxgudowski5k@gmail.com to learn about our sponsorship options! We chose to hold this event at Billings Park Civic Center. Maxton grew up in Billings Park, he frequented the park and many fond memories were made there. His Ironwood Memorial tree is now in the Japanese Friendship Garden, one of our 5K water station stops will be at Maxton’s Memorial tree. Maxton’s Memorial brick is in the Angel Garden which is to the left of the main gate into Billings Park. Also, in addition to the race, we will be holding a meat raffle at Birds Bar in Superior, WI on Wednesday, May 19th at 6:00 pm to raise funds for Humane Society of Douglas County.
