Pink Cheeks Triathlon | 5K Run, 10K Bike, 600-Yard Swim

Seward Parks & Recreation is proud to start your race season with our annual Pink Cheeks Triathlon in Seward, Alaska! The Pink Cheeks Triathlon is open to all ability levels. Sign up by March 21st to get a custom made 2026 Pink Cheeks T-Shirt! There are two options to compete in the Pink Cheeks Triathlon: Option 1. Compete as a team. Sign up as a team that consists of 3 individuals with 1 individual competing per segment. Team competitors must be over 8 years old.Option 2. Compete as a soloist. Soloists must be aged 13 or older. Kids aged 8-12 can only compete as a part of a team. Additional Race Information This year's race will begin with the 5K run, transition to the 10K bike ride, and finish with the 600-yard swim5K Run and 10K Bike Segments: Both the 5K run and 10K bike will start and finish at Seward High School (course will vary). Race terrain inclines as you run and bike, and includes high school cross-country trails, city streets, and minimal gravel roads. At this time

Exit Glacier 5k/10k

Seward Parks & Recreation is excited to host the 2026 Exit Glacier 5k and 10k Race in Seward, Alaska! Both races will start at the Resurrection Roadhouse on Herman Leirer Road and follow an out and back route. Register the whole family for this popular event! All participants will receive a 30"x60" 2026 Exit Glacier beach towel. Early sign ups get an extra giveaway! Sign up by Saturday, April 4th to receive a custom 2026 Exit Glacier T-Shirt!   There will be two options for bib pick up:  Option 1. Friday, May 15 from 10-8pm at the AVTEC gym located at 519 4th Ave, Seward, AK 99664Option 2. Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 - 9:45am at the Resurrection Roadhouse parking lot (Mile 0.5/31752 Herman Leirer Road) See you at the starting line!

98th Annual running of Mount Marathon Saturday, July 4, 2026.    Join the community of Seward for the 98th annual running of the Mount Marathon Race. The men’s and women’s course is a grueling 1.5-mile climb up, and back down, Alaska’s majestic and treacherous Mount Marathon. Runners from around the world join Seward residents and runners from around Alaska, in pursuit of a common goal: to win, place, or simply complete this iconic footrace. Mount Marathon awaits you, and future generations of bold mountain runners!
