Please join us for the Saratoga Stryders' Annual Meeting and Election Dinner.   We'll have a light pasta dinner with cash bar, followed by a brief business meeting and election of officers for 2026.      Where: Jacob & Anthony's, 38 High Rock Avenue, Saratoga Springs.    When: Tuesday, March 31 at 6:00 p.m. (Drinks and socializing); 6:30 p.m. (Dinner); 7:15/7:30 (Meeting)   Cost: Free for Stryders members.  Guests can pay $20 and become a Stryders member to attend.   RSVP: Please register by Friday, March 27 to help us provide correct numbers to Jacob & Anthony's to help optimizing cost to club.

Join us for the 18th Annual Furry Fun Run, a Run/Walk for people AND dogs! This great fundraiser to benefit Peppertree Rescue will take place at the Warming Hut off the scenic Avenue of the Pines in Saratoga State Park on Saturday April 18th!  The Furry Fun Run was the first 5k in the area to welcome dogs, and it is a do-not-miss event! If you are not up for running, we welcome walkers too! Day-of-registration is $35 so do not forget to register early.  FREE T-shirts will go to the first 25 registrants.    Prizes will be awarded to the first woman, man, non-binary person and dog to cross the finish line. This event will be bar code timed by White Knight Timing and Race Management. Packet pick up and race day registration will run from 8:00 am to 8:45 am on race day at the Warming Hut; the race will start promptly at 9:15 am. Proceeds of this event go to benefit the dogs of Peppertree Rescue.  Peppertree Rescue is a volunteer run organization dedicated to helping dogs of good temperamen

Join us for the second annual Spook Out Cancer 5K, a Halloween-themed community event benefiting the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) - the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society working to advance policies that save lives from cancer, reduce the cancer burden, and improve access to care. 🎃 Whether you’re a competitive runner, casual jogger, weekend walker, parent pushing a stroller, or simply looking for a fun reason to enjoy a crisp fall morning outside, this event is for you. Together, we’ll raise funds to support ACS CAN New York’s mission to help cancer patients, survivors, and thrivers across our community. Pitney Farm Run 5k (9:00am) and Youth Fun Run (10:00am) at Pitney Meadows Community Farm in Saratoga Springs, NY. The Youth and Community Races will be held in conjunction with the Saratoga XC Invitational (start 10:30am). The Community Races will be held before the high school meets begin. All proceeds from the races will benefit Pitney Meadows Community Farm The races will be held the morning of Saturday, October 10, 2026 on the beautiful Pitney Meadows Community Farm. The course is a mixed surface 5km course and will be run entirely on grass and stone dust trail surfaces. The course is primarily flat with some gentle rolling along the trails, there are no road crossings, and the trails are wide and smooth. The course offers open field viewing of the start and finish areas. The course is spectator-friendly, and will offer participants and spectators alike, a laid-back running atmosphere. Mission: Pitney Meadows Community Farm's mission is to grow food, community, and connection, and to educate about the natural world right here on our conserved farm in the heart of Saratoga Springs.

October is domestic violence awareness month, and we're calling all racers, walkers, and fun runners to join us for the second annual Run for the Coven 5k to benefit Wellspring in Saratoga. Festivities begin with a 1/4 mile fun run for racers of all ages, followed by a scenic 5k race around the iconic Saratoga Spa State Park. T shirts available for registrants while supplies last. Costumes welcome on race day, the witchier the better when we Run for the Coven! 100% of Run for the Coven proceeds will benefit Wellspring's ONE Campaign (https://www.wellspringcares.org/event/one/) -- Wellspring is the domestic violence and sexual assault services resource for Saratoga County, NY and the sexual assault services resource for Washington County, NY. A great family fun event in conjunction with the Friends of Wilton Recreation. Who We Are The Friends of Wilton Recreation, Inc. has been formed to seek private funding to assist the Wilton recreation facilities and programs to benefit activities for all ages in our community. The Friends of Wilton Recreation, Inc. aims to support the recreation programs by securing monies and resources, developing community relationships, and serving as an advocate for development outside the department’s budget. Our mission is to assist a Park and Recreation System which enriches the quality of life for residents and visitors alike and preserves it for future generations. This will enable us to provide learning, competition and an enjoyable, social experience that promotes development of the whole person (not just the athlete) including respect of oneself and others, the programs, the coaches, counselors, our families and the community. Ways Recreation Serves Our Community Gavin Park is a central recreation complex for residents of the Town of Wilton and surrounding communities. Not only does Gavin Park offer a myriad of youth activities such as an After School Program and Summer Day Camp, sports programs for baseball, soccer, basketball, pickleball and coaches’ clinics, and family celebrations like the Holiday Tree lighting and Community Day, and also hosts several regional athletic tournaments and events that bring thousands of people to the area who frequent local shops, restaurants and hotels. Additionally, Gavin Park provides employment opportunities for many area youth.

It’s that time of year! Set your clocks back, fall back in bed for that extra hour, and emerge bright-eyed and bushy tailed, ready to breathe crisp, autumn air and tackle some serious trails in historic Saratoga Spa State Park. The Fall Back 5 Mile Trail Race course is a combination of hills, ridges, and single track, with a few wide trails, paved sections, and grassy areas, showcasing sections of the park some may have never seen before. This is nature’s original obstacle course at its finest. (There is even a stair climb on a section near SPAC.) Important Dates/Times: Thursday, October 29th - Online registration closes at 5:00pm. Saturday, October 31st - In-person registration (cash/check only) and early bib pickup from 12:00-2:00pm at iRun LOCAL (425 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY). Sunday, November 1st - Race Day! 8:30am-9:30am - Last-minute registration (cash/check only) and bib pickup at the Saratoga Spa State Park inside the Roosevelt II Building (across the field from the Roosevelt Baths & Spa - next building south of the Administration Building/Park Office).10:00am - 5 Mile Trail Race starts.11:45am - Race timing ends, awards presentations and door prize drawings begin outside the Roosevelt II Building near the finish. Restrooms are located in the Wired Coffee Shop in the Roosevelt II Building (next building south of the Administration Building/Park Office). The race starting line is a short distance north of the finish line (northwest corner of the Mall area). Course Map shows approximate racecourse over the State Park’s Five Mile Trail. (Includes Crossing Guard and Course Marshal stations.) NOTE: In the interest of safety for all participants, due to the narrow trails on the course, RUNNERS ARE PROHIBITED FROM RUNNING IN THE RACE WITH THEIR DOGS. The use of portable music devices during the race is strongly discouraged. Parking: Use the Administration/Park Office lot, the patron lot behind the Automobile Museum or the Roosevelt Bath & Spa lot. Please do not use the Hall of Springs lot, as they have an event there and need the parking.
