The Florida Inline Skating Marathon’s Inaugural event was launched by Founder/President Mike Mason, and an impassioned ensemble of inline skaters, in October 2021. The FISM immediately became the largest skate race in Florida; and of the largest in the nation. The FISM is held at the World Class venue- Nathan Benderson Park, in the charming community of Lakewood Ranch, in sunny, Sarasota, Florida. A variety of race distances offer something for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Not since 2005 had the World Inline Cup (WIC) been represented in the USA, to which the FISM is proud to be an Associated Race. If you are returning, thank you for your past participation! The Santa Launch will be a 3’ish Mile Fun Run/Walk(not a race) where everyone can be Santa or one of his elves for the night. We will run/walk all dressed in our Santa suits and holiday bling spreading cheer as we venture thru several locations in downtown Sarasota. The 14th Annual Andrew Monroe Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk takes place on the #1 Rated Siesta Key Beach in beautiful Sarasota, Florida The event provides scholarships for further education to Riverview High School Senior Soccer players, JROTC Cadets and Track Athletes,  If there are remaining funds they will continue to grow the Sarasota Community Foundation Scholarship's in Andrew's name.Andrew so LOVED soccer that his parents wanted to keep his legacy of education alive. The 2027 Manasota Track Club banquet will be Saturday January 23, 2027. Each year this event serves as MTC's required annual meeting and member celebration. Outgoing board members are recognized, incoming board officers are elected and MTC kicks off another chapter in the club's rich history. Following the board member elections, we will pay honor to MTC volunteers who give of themselves in order for our club to continue to provide events for its members.
