Earth Day In Sandpoint (One with Nature)

Earth Day In Sandpoint (One with Nature), is an annual event held at City Beach in Sandpoint Idaho. This event will have a 5mile Run/walk from City beach along the Ponderay Bay Trail and back. There will be local businesses, crafts, and food vendors in the park at City Beach. This event is a celebration of the beautiful nature and area we live in and a preservation reminder of it.  This event is also a fundraiser that will be donated to the local parks & recreation department as well as the wildlife conservation department for the local area.

3/4 MINUS CYKELTUR

The ¾ Minus Cykeltur is a gravel grinder consisting of a 52-mile route on asphalt and gravel roads and a 75-mile route on asphalt, gravel, and some dirt singletrack trail. The 3/4 Minus starts and finishes on Oak Street adjacent to Matchwood Brewing Company and is followed by a party and award ceremony at Matchwood Brewing with food, drink, and live music. It takes place annually on the first Saturday in May. This is a charity event, proceeds of which are donated to Pend O'reille Pedalers and KRFY - Panhandle Community Radio  The 3/4 Minus Cykeltur is the first of three annual events in the Idaho Panhandle Gravel Series. It Is followed by the Monarch Grind on the last Saturday in June and Aether's Traverse on the third Saturday in August. Riders must participate in all three events to be eligible for overall series results, or can participate in any of the three events if not interested in being part of the overall series results. Long Bridge Swim

The Long Bridge Swim is the Northwest's Premier open water swimming event!  A beautiful 1.76 mile swim from the south end of Sandpoint's historic Long Bridge to the North end.  Founded by local swimming enthusiast Eric Ridgway in 1995, the Long Bridge Swim has grown from the first group of 78 friends swimming across Lake Pend O'Reille to 705 swimmers in 2024.  The Long Bridge Swim is always held the first Saturday in August.  Spectators can easily watch their swimmers progress as they make their way across Lake Pend O'Reille. Since 2010, the Long Bridge Swim has raised funds to support swim lessons for children and adults in the greater Sandpoint Area.  We want everyone to be able to safely enjoy our beautiful Lake Pend O'Reille!

Aether's Traverse

Aether's Traverse Is a point-to-point gravel grinder that starts in Sandpoint, Idaho, and ends on top of Schweitzer Mountain Resort at the Sky House. The 35-mile route is predominantly on gravel roads and includes approximately 6,200 feet of elevation gain. This is a charity event, proceeds of which are donated to Pend O'reille Pedalers and KRFY - Panhandle Community Radio  Aether's Traverse is the last of three annual events in the Idaho Panhandle Gravel Series. It is preceded by the 3/4 Minus Cykeltur on the first Saturday of May and the Monarch Grind on the last Saturday in June. Riders must participate in all three events to be eligible for overall series results, or can participate in one or two events if not interested in being part of the overall series results. Engaged Families Inc. presents this youth event bringing Persevering, Encouraging, Achieving, Kids- and their families together to enjoy the magnificent outdoors 7B has to offer in an exciting, challenging, and fulfilling way!
