Along the route, participants can stop at designated watering holes to take a quick drink and enjoy the donut holes of the famous Gold-N-Glaze Donut & Coffee Shop. Pets are welcome. No refunds will be given for the event. Run will take place rain or shine. Note: No motorized vehicles, roller blades or bikes will be allowed on the course. Protection will be provided at intersections by volunteers or the St. Joseph Police Department. Reminder: You can register until 7:00 a.m. the morning of the run, but it must be done through the RunSignUp website and no cash payments are accepted onsite.

The THIRD ANNUAL St. Joseph 5k “Turkey Trot” Run/Walk will be held on November 26, 2026!  Starting and finishing at the Margaret B. Upton Arboretum, this will be a wonderful way for families to gather, friends to reunite, and the community to strengthen – not to mention a guilt-free way to begin a day famous for indulging!  Participants will run or walk past Silver Beach Pizza, Shadowland, the Carousel, and our Iconic beaches on the way to an energetic finish with music, refreshments, and awards. Our goal is simply to create an event that will become a tradition as so many other Thanksgiving Day races have become throughout Michigan.

The 2026 Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk is for all ages and fitness levels. Bring the family out for fun, fitness, and togetherness! Walkers and runners are welcome to come wobble before you gobble. All participants will receive medals for participation. Awards will be given for creative holiday costumes for one individual and one family and one pet. Register before 11/6 to receive a race T-Shirt. All proceeds go to support Noyes Home for Children, the YMCA of St. Joseph and Sertoma. NOTE Online registration is required and will remain open through 8:45 am on the day of the race. There will be no in-person registration on the day of the race. Entrants may park in the Casino parking lot. (In designated area). BIB AND T-SHIRT PICKUP Bib and T-shirts may be picked up at the YMCA of St. Joseph on November 25, 2026 between 1 pm and 5 pm, or on race day from 7:30 to 8:45 am at the Casino. RACE START/FINISH The race will start/finish at Casino. Participants will be timed with bibs provided by Show Me Running Company. Finish photos will be available at RunSignUp.com COURSE Participants will leave the parking lot and travel north on Waterworks Road. Course is well be marked and flat with views. AWARDS Trophies will be given to the overall male and female participants. Place medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age division. Finisher medals will be given to all participants. Show Me Running Company -Finish line photo! We will upload the photo online and provide you and the participant a link to download for free! -Finish line video! Our all-weather video camera will record every finisher. -Online event registration and results. Using Run Sign Up participants can register, view their results, and see their finish line photo and video. -Email notifications. After the event, finishers will be sent a link to see their results, finish line photos and video. We can also send pre-race announcements to all registered participants for you. Instant results! Finishers will see their name and time on a large flat screen tv when they cross the finish line. -Results kiosk. (space and power limitations may affect our ability to provide a results kiosk). Participants can instantly print their results (time, pace, rank, etc.) on a label that they can stick in their training log.

This year there's two great ways to enjoy the annual Snowflake Shuffle 5K! About the race: Fast and fun certified course that meanders through St. Joseph, starting and finishing on the campus of the College of Saint Benedict. Or, if you'd rather, a virtual 5K that you can run wherever you are! ​All the fun stuff: Snowflake Shuffle provides one of the coolest long-sleeved race t-shirts in central Minnesota to each finisher. (Technical T-shirts!) If you're running in person, you can pick up your shirt the day of the race. If you're competing virtually, be sure to email Robin your time and a selfie after you finish! Do you love the Holiday Lights at Krug Park? Of course, you do! We all do! This event is an untimed (no race/run bibs or timing chips will be included) fun walk/run under the holiday lights at Krug Park. This is a family friendly event; even Santa 🎅 said he wanted in on the fun! Bring your Christmas lists kiddos! He will collect them at the start line! Line-up will start at 4:33-4:45PM at the park entrance where hot cocoa will be served, and all participants will receive a festive Tutu. We encourage you to arrive at 4:15PM to get extra time for pictures with Santa and get your Tutu & Cocoa. The Hazels Coffee Bago will also be onsite selling festive holiday drinks and lattes. The walk/run will start at 5:00PM CST sharp. The course will navigate the main roads of Holiday Park, which is approximately 1.5 miles long. All walkers and runners will have one hour to complete the course. All participants must be clear of the course by 6:00PM CST, as the park will open to visitors in vehicles at that point in time. This event is capped at 500 registrants for safety concerns. Back by popular demand! Add Cinnabon packs to your entry! The proceeds from these sweet treats will of course go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and our overall fundraising goal! They will be available for pickup at the start/finish line of the event. We do have to clear the entry to the park before 6:00PM, so please make sure to pick your order up immediately after finishing the event. Three local runners from The Measly Mile Mafia are raising money for St. Jude’s Children's Hospital as St. Jude Heroes. This event will serve as fundraising for their St. Jude Heroes Campaign. "St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Their researchers and doctors work together to turn laboratory breakthroughs into lifesaving treatments for children from across the United States and around the world. With your support, St. Jude can provide cutting-edge treatments at no cost to families — so they can focus on helping their child live (stjude.org)." Please park in the lower southwest side lot using the access entry of off St. Joseph Avenue and/or street parking. Do not block any driveways, streets, or residents homes please. Parking will be limited and will be first come first serve. Carpooling is recommended. The main entry to the park will be closed. This is an all-weather event since it's a holiday light walk/run. We will not cancel this event unless the weather causes dangerous conditions. This is an outside bundle up in your ski clothes special kinda night! Participants will receive a festive Tutu, a Cherry Mash compliments of Chase Candy Company, Hot Chocolate compliments of Hazels Coffee Company, and an awesome finishers medal.
