The Running of the Turkeys 5k is the new City of Roswell Thanksgiving Day tradition!! Participate LIVE or VIRTUALLY! Come earn your turkey with us as we run down Canton Street in Downtown Roswell and support Friends Of Roswell Police . The Friends of Roswell Police raises money to support local families and seniors in need for the holidays and throughout the year All participants get a cool Turkey themed giveaway  and an awesome tri-blend long sleeve   t-shirt.   This live event will start and finish on the famous Canton street in Downtown Roswell and will have limited  participants, so sign up early!. We're excited to present the Dirty Spokes 9.4/5.0 Mile Trail Running Race at the Big Creek Trails, Roswell, Ga. Nestled in the woods of suburban Atlanta lies a true gem. The well groomed system of trails with gentle slopes and beautiful scenery will leave you breathless, (If that doesn't the 9.4/5.0 miles will) This is a great single and double track off road running experience. The terrain is made up of a little bit of everything, rolling hills, technical sections (rocks, roots and tight twisty sections). The course if beautiful and offers something for every runner truly wishing to "ditch the city". All racers will receive a long sleeve super soft tri blend shirt. Packet pickup will be the morning of the race starting at 7:00a.m to 8:00a.m. Race starts at 8:30 a.m. SHARP! Dirty Spokes will be handing out medals and prizes to our overall top 3 male and female finishers for each race as well as overall male and female maters, grandmasters and senior grandmasters winners. We will also be handing out medals to our top 3 male and female finishers in each age group (9&U, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-49, 80&U) - you must be present to receive your medal as they will not be mailed.

*Online registration for the 5K will close at 11:00am on Friday, 3/5, allowing us to get timing chips prepared. (Virtual will remain open until race morning, but this is only for those competing virtually. No time chips are given to virtual runners.) *In Person Registration WILL BE AVAILABLE at early packet pickup and race morning. The Max Gruver Foundation believes there is no place for hazing in any organization. The purpose is to educate young people and parents about the dangers of hazing, the signs of hazing, and the importance of stepping up and helping when a situation appears to be getting out of control. The Max Gruver Foundation, based in Roswell, Georgia, is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2017 following the death of Roswell teen Max Gruver. Max was killed in a fraternity hazing ritual during his first semester at Louisiana State University. Since that tragic day, his parents, Rae Ann and Steve Gruver, have worked tirelessly to fight hazing in organizations across the country. They regularly speak at universities and high schools, work with Greek leadership nationwide, and with legislators to create stronger laws against hazing. Their work has made tremendous changes, and will continue to do so. Participants can expect a high energy, fun morning with a mostly flat loop course. Runners and walkers of all levels are encouraged to participate.

Our 14th Annual Water Drop Dash 5K will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.  In partnership with Racing Solutions, CNC has mapped out a 5k course that is fast, flat, and a Peachtree Qualifying course along the banks of the beautiful Chattahoochee River in Roswell, Georgia!  Our 5k road race is presented by Metro North Georgia Water Planning District and in conjunction with national WaterSense Fix a Leak Week, the run and post-race water festival encourages metro Atlanta residents to conserve water.  Remember to share your race day experience with us by sharing photos on social media, @chattahoocheenaturecenter with our hashtags #waterdropdash or #getyourrunon! The 48th Annual Possum Trot 10K and Fun Run will have a virtual and in-person registration option.  The in-person race is a Fun, Flat and FAST course along the banks of the Chattahoochee River!  The race is an important Community event for CNC and the proceeds benefit environmental education programs focused on the Chattahoochee River and watershed. This 10K is also a Peachtree road race qualifier! This Certified Peachtree Road Race 5k course, is a 5k to to honor the memory of Jamie McHenry, our 13 year old son who was hit and killed by a car on a Spring Break trip in 2013. All proceeds are used to award youth athletic scholarships , character awards and school improvements in the North Fulton area. Race includes 5k race with over $500 in Dick's Sporting Goods Bonus Cash for winners, Fun Run for the kids (with medals for all participants), live music on the race route, food and refreshments back at the stadium, silent auction and raffle.
