BoxHause Rocky Mount Boxing & Fitness LLC will be presenting the 2026 HauseNation Red Oak 5k on March 28th, 2026 benefitting Nash UNC Health Foundation Community Paramedic Program. Who are we? BoxHause Rocky Mount is the standard for group fitness in eastern North Carolina. We specialize in 60 minute and 45 minute HIIT Strength Boxing, HYROX Training, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and MixxedFit classes offered at HQ! Our 2026 HauseNation Red Oak 5k will bring fitness to the front door of our community. A percentage of all proceeds will go directly to Nash UNC Health Foundation Community Paramedic Program. The community paramedic program directly impacts members of our community lowering recidivism for recent hospital releases deemed necessary. This race will include a Kids Fun run and Timed 5k for runners and walkers.

Join us for our annual 5K Walk/Run as we come together in strength, remembrance, and community. This event is about showing up, moving forward, and honoring resilience—no matter where you are in your journey. Hosted by The Brian Battle Foundation, this 5K is a time to walk or run with purpose while supporting our mission of mentorship, second chances, and community empowerment. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or simply coming out to support the cause, this event is for everyone. This is a walk/run event, and participants are encouraged to go at their own pace—fast, slow, or somewhere in between. Check-in will begin at 7:00 AM, and the race will start promptly at 8:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow enough time for check-in and pre-race prep. Come join us for a fun filled morning at Rocky Mount Academy! There will be a 5K Color Run as well as a Fun Run. In addition to these events, there will be Food Trucks and a Kids Zone. Most importantly, every dollar raised from the event will go to support hands-on learning experiences for children within Rocky Mount Academy's Exceptional Eagles Program. Roots & Routes 5K at the Mills is a trail race starting at the Rocky Mount Mills to raise money for Ripe For Revival. Ripe For Revival is a 501(C)3 non-profit located in Rocky Mount NC. Our mission is to Revive Communities through Food by bridging the gap between farm excess and food access. The 5K will start and finish in the Rocky Mount Mills parking lot and you will run less then a half mile to and from the bike trails at battle park in which a majority of the race will be taking place. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 6 YEARS OF AGE TO PARTICIPATE. Early Packet Pickup: Early pickup with be Friday 5/01/2026. This annual event is in memory of Miracle Hope. Miracle was a true warrior! When she was born she was diagnosed with microcephaly cerebral palsy and later in life epilepsy. In her short life she and her family faced many battles. Through it all Miracle showed strength, courage, and love for everyone. She would light up any room she was in and taught many people what true unconditional love is. Miracle went to be with her creator in Heaven in November 2019 and her family and friends fondly remember her wonderful life every day. Miracle's brothers Gabe and Jacob are also able to find some healing in this incredible way to honor her and to give back. This year our event honors her 18th birthday and we are truly excited to celebrate her with our extended family and friends with this event raising money for  a wonderful charity, Healing Strides located at 672 Naff Road in Boones Mill, Virginia. On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Rotary Club of Rocky Mount is hosting the annual TACKLE THE TAR 5K Obstacle Course Race & Family Fun Day at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex.  Our first heat begins with our Kid’s 1-mile fun run at 8:45 A.M. and festivities will continue until noon.   All proceeds from this event go directly to the funding of college scholarships for deserving students in the Rocky Mount Area.  Since 2016, thanks to you, we have raised and awarded over $510,000 in scholarships to youth in our community.  Thank you for making such a difference in the lives of so many! Tackle the Tar is a 5K Obstacle Course Race that begins at the Rocky Mount Sports complex and courses through historic Battle Park and the E.B. Grain Company property.  It comes complete with a MUD PIT and 20+ OBSTACLES to overcome.  All racers will receive: T-shirt, medal, one free beer (if over 21), and goodie bag.

The senior class at Franklin County High School in Rocky Mount, VA proudly announces the 16th annual Eagle Strut Race to take place Saturday September 12, 2026 at 8:00 AM.  The Eagle Strut is a 5K race that takes runners around the beautiful and historic town of Rocky Mount. The 5K course is a perfect introduction to running for novice runners while still providing enough of a challenge to keep advanced runners interested. Proceeds for the race help fund the FCHS Class of 2027 in order to help offset senior activity costs and provide aid to our seniors who are most in need. No refunds will be given. Shirt size can only be guaranteed if registering before 8/14!
