The Dirty Wookie 10K & 5K is a one-of-kind Halloween themed running event taking place in Downtown Reno featuring two unique courses and distances. Come in costume, if you'd like, and join a few thousand other runners/walkers for an unforgettable running experience through the city. The 10K course (new to 2026!) is Reno's only point-to-point 10K. Starting at Reno Running Company – LAKESIDE the course winds through Virginia Lake, beautiful West Reno neighborhoods, Idlewild Park, and finishes at J Resort’s Festival Grounds in downtown Reno. Parking at the 10K start is extremely limited, so runners are encouraged to park at the J Resort, and purchase a shuttle ticket ($10) to be transported to the start. NO shuttle service is provided back to the 10K start line after the race, so if you choose to drive yourself, please plan accordingly. Walkers are welcome to register for the 10K but please be aware of the 2 hour cut off for the course (19:21/mile pace). The 5K starts and finishes at J Resort’s Festival Grounds, and features a scenic out-and-back loop through the colorful paths of Idlewild Park. Walkers are very welcome and encouraged to join! Both the 10K and 5K will begin at 9:00 AM. Costume Contest! Around 10:30 AM, make sure you're near the podiums for the official Dirty Wookie costume contest! We will parade the eligible participants, then ask the crowd to vote for the favorite for a grand prize. Who will get the loudest cheer?! All ages are welcome, and you must be a registered 2026 Dirty Wookie runner to participate. Reno's Wobble Before You Gobble is the best Thanksgiving tradition for the whole family. Join us on Thanksgiving Morning, Thursday November 26th for a run/ walk/ wobble that kicks off your Thanksgiving morning festivities! The 2026 event will take place at Wingfield Park (2 South Arlington Ave. Reno, NV 89501) The 10K will start at 9am, followed by the 5K at 9:10am, and the 1 Mile Walk at 9:15am. Participants will make their way through Downtown Reno before returning to the finish where they will get a finisher's medal upon completion. Packet pickup will be Tuesday, November 24th and Wednesday, November 25th from 12-6pm at Reno Running Company- Summit Store (13987 S Virginia St, Reno, NV 89511). Enjoy a trail run in the beautiful Rattlesnake Mountain and Huffaker hills. This course is all trail. Long sleeve performance shirt is included in race registration fee. The 5k race will begin at 9am on Saturday December 26th, 2026. 5k and virtual 5k available Youth and adult athletes are welcome, ages 5 and up.  This is a recognized and sanctioned race by USA track and field. EMT services will be provided by REMSA. This race will be officially timed and results will be posted online after the race. Parking   Parking is limited at Huffaker Hills Trailhead, once the parking lot and side of the road parking is full, volunteers will direct participants to park at the Longley Town center parking lot at the bottom of the mountain where a shuttle will be available. We encourage participants and fans to ride in the same vehicle and arrive early to the race. Come enjoy a beautiful trail run at Bartley Ranch Regional Park. This is a majority dirt trail with a slight hill to the scenic overlook of Audrey Harris Park (windy hill lookout). The trail starts at Bartley Ranch Regional Park, goes through Anderson Park trail, back up to windy hill, and ends at Bartley Ranch Regional Park. Youth and adult participants of all athletic abilities are welcome, ages 5 and up.    Featured Sponsor F45 Training will be managing the water station at Mile 1 and 2. This is an all trail run with a mostly flat course, a few rolling hills, and beautiful views. The Labor Day Dash 5k is a sanctioned USA track and field event. Ages 5 and up are welcome.
