New Year 5K & 10K at Raleigh, NC (02)

Raleigh, NC
US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. View Race Course, Results, and Race Information on the US Road Running race page.

Race Day Celebration After crossing the finish line, stick around for our post-race celebration, Party in the Park! Celebrate your accomplishment, enjoy the music, connect with the community, and stop by our Wellness Corner, featuring local vendors offering products, services, samples, and resources. A portion of the proceeds will benefit NAMI Wake County, whose mission is to provide support, education, and public awareness so that individuals, families, and communities facing mental health challenges can live better lives—helping us extend the impact of this event beyond race day. Whether you're running for a personal record, walking with friends, honoring your mental health journey, or supporting a great cause, Run in the Park is your chance to move with purpose, connect with the community, and inspire others to do the same. Together, let's raise awareness, reduce stress, build community, and prove that every mile matters. Move Your Body. Refresh Your Mind. Run with Purpose.

Medal Madness 5K & 13.1M at Raleigh, NC (31)

Wild Bill 5k

Raleigh, NC
In both memory and honor of William “Wild Bill” Sonner, Seven Oaks and the Stonehenge HOA is proud to hold our fifth annual Wild Bill 5k in 2025. Wild Bill was a coach, mentor and community leader in Raleigh for decades. The same passion that made Wild Bill an All-American athlete at NC State, made him a beloved Raleigh fixture for nearly 70 years. While his forte was swimming, Wild Bill was well known for running daily, no matter how hot the summer days got. Wild Bill was relentless and we wish to harness that energy to raise money for good causes in his honor. The 5k course has been certified by USATF and issued course number NC21006BDS.  An easily viewable course map is linked below and HERE using mapmyrun.
