Run the Peninsula Series- Virtual Series - 5 Races

2026 Run the Peninsula Road Race Series. There are 5 - 5K / 10K / Half-Marathon Virtual Races. 5 Races and 5 Medals that highlight local landmarks.  If you do all 5 races you will receive a Run the Peninsula Wooden Display that will showcase the impressive accomplishment.  You complete the 5K / 10K / Half Marathon races on your own time, on your course and your own date. You can run them from anywhere in the World. By registering for the Run the Peninsula Series you receive 5 Medals, 5 Race Bibs, and the Run the Peninsula Wooden Medal Holder.

OAT Run

* 50K * Half Marathon * 12K * The Olympic Adventure Trail Run (OAT Run) is a point-to-point trail 12K and half marathon as well as an out-and-back 50K that traverses Kelly Ridge between the Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington State, all on single-track trail.  Limit 130 runners per distance. The OAT Run Experience OAT Run is for trail runners who enjoy lush green forests filled with moss and ferns, towering evergreens, and spring trailside flowers. Runners will get a stunning view of the Elwha River Valley as they run by the “Living Room”. And if this wasn’t epic enough, get ready to eat, drink, and relax post-race with an amazing view of the Olympic Mountains. The after-party at Extreme Sports Park is a fun atmosphere, and racers will get hot burritos from Little Devil's Lunchbox and cold drinks, a toasty campfire, and door prizes (woot!). North Olympic Discovery Marathon (5K / 10K/ Half / Full / Relay / Kids Marathon)

The North Olympic Discovery Marathon, Marathon Walk, Marathon Relay and Half Marathon take place on a unique point to point course that incorporates the beautiful Olympic Discovery Trail with stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and a five mile finishing stretch along the shores of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The 10K,  5K and Kids Marathon are an out-and-back along the shores of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.  Frequent sightings of seals, eagles, and an array of shore birds are common from the trail. Iconic trestle bridges provide beautiful back drops. Salmon can be seen spawning at the Morse Creek crossing in the fall. The North Olympic Discovery Marathon is truly one of the most beautiful marathon venues anywhere. This rails to trails course is a wide, hard surface (99% paved) trail. Sea to Sound

Sea To Sound is a 70 mile, three-day, multi-modal group ride spanning the entire length of the Olympic Discovery Trail. It is also a fundraising opportunity for Ian's Ride, a 501c3 non profit in the State Of Washington.  The Olympic Peninsula is the farthest northwest expanse of land one can explore along the US coast. In fact, the Rails to Trail Conservancy recently decided to add the ODT to the Great American Rail-Trail – making a route from Washington, DC to the Pacific Ocean here in Washington State. Over 3700 miles! For our event, we will offer aid stations and support along the entire route.  Wheelchair users are strongly encouraged!  We will support you. Just tell us what you will need. To accommodate everyone, we are offering a virtual option. This means, you can join along with us, at your own pace, from your own neighborhood. Ride the Hurricane 2026

Each year on the first Sunday in August, cyclists have the extraordinary opportunity to ride the iconic Hurricane Ridge road when it is closed to all motor vehicles. Starting the round-trip ride at sea level from the Port Angeles City Pier, cyclists ascend through the Olympic National Park, past old growth fir, distant glaciers, and Alpine Meadows, to the stunning viewpoints of Hurricane Ridge.  Ride Registration includes entry to a car-free ride up Hurricane Ridge Road, which is closed to motor vehicles during the event, seven aid stations with a variety of snacks (including our famous Ride the Hurricane truffles), bike mechanic services, EMT on standby, and emergency radio services along the route. It also includes the After Party on the Pier, with a taco bar catered by local favorite Little Devil's Lunchbox, draft beer, and other refreshments. All is included in your registration! GOAT Run

* 50K * Marathon * Half Marathon * The Great Olympic Adventure Trail Run (GOAT Run) is a trail 50K, marathon & half marathon that traverses Kelly Ridge between the Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington State. The route follows the single track Adventure Trail for the majority of the course, plus some unpaved forest road mixed in, and less than a mile on pavement. The finish line is in Olympic National Park at the deep, glacially carved Lake Crescent. Famous for its turquoise blue waters of exceptional clarity, the lake is the perfect place to end the race. The course reaches a maximum elevation of 1,619 feet, with a cumulative elevation gain of 1500 ft for the half, 3500 ft for the marathon, and 3700 ft for the 50K. Challenging? Absolutely! Big Hurt

The Big Hurt is a multi-sport race that includes four legs and participants can race solo in Iron Division or as a relay team. Big Hurt is unique in that all transitions are at the same location, making for an all-day party atmosphere. Even better, the transition is located on the beautiful waterfront in downtown Port Angeles. Race legs include: * A 15-mile mountain bike that takes place in the foothills above Port Angeles (10-mile mountain bike, 5 miles on road downhill to downtown Port Angeles race hub for transition to kayak leg)* A 2.6-mile kayak in Port Angeles Harbor* A 30-mile road bike that goes west out of Port Angeles and crosses the Elwha River and visits Freshwater Bay, as well as the lower parts of Kelly Ridge on Dan Kelly and Eden Valley Roads.* A 10K Run, out and back on the Olympic Discovery Trail along the waterfront Full Big Hurt info here.  Please make note of our very specific KAYAK REQUIREMENTS - click here to review.
