IVS Grand Prix Participant Information The Grand Prix Series is a race circuit for IVS members that rewards participation in running and IVS events throughout the year.  12 IVS Grand Prix Series races offered $5.00 registration discounts to IVS Grand Prix Participants in 2024.  Points are distributed across age groups and gender; age group is determined by participant’s age as of 31 December.  Awards will be presented at the IVS annual meeting & awards ceremony (to be held on the 3rd - or 4th (snow date) - weekend of February the following year) and are awarded based on the number of races and volunteer opportunities completed and total points accumulated. Participants must complete three (live, not virtual) IVS Grand Prix Series Races and accumulate 20 volunteer points to be eligible for Annual Awards.   All IVS Grand Prix Participants are eligible for IVS Grand Prix Series race discounts. Join us for PRC Pinwheel 5K Trail Run and Fun Walk!  It's the race against child abuse! This cross-country style 5K will take place at the beautiful Donovan Park in Peoria, Illinois.  We will offer a timed 5K race for runners, a fun 5K walk, and kids' run for the little ones!  100% of proceeds remain right here in Central Illinois and help provide child-friendly medical and social services for children when there is a concern for possible abuse or neglect.

It's our 8th Annual PTSD Awareness 5K! And we have something new and exciting!! We will be introducing a running chair that will allow disabled individuals to participate in these events. Check out the First Responder PTS Foundation website for more information. Help us in our efforts to overcome PTSD by supporting and participating in this event. Show your support by honoring those that have lost the battle to PTSD, those who are currently battling and those who have survived the battle. Through PERSEVERANCE, TENACITY, SUPPORT and DETERMINATION we can overcome PTSD. Proceeds from this event will go to the First Responder PTS Foundation (501c3) to provide ancillary services to mental health treatment and education for first responders related to PTSD, stress and trauma. Welcome to the Central Illinois Summer Trail Series! The 1st race in this series will take place at Kinsey Park in Peoria, IL. It is following the 4.16 mile trail loop that is used in the "Yellowbrick Backyard Ultra" that is hosted on the course the very next day by Sophie Russell (If you've never heard of a backyard--- you should check it out!)! This is a great way to get exposure to trails, and also learn a little bit about the local ultramarathon community.  The course offers hills, plenty of runnable sections, and some Wizard of Oz themed stretches to bring some joy to the grind!  Elevation gain for this loop is approximately 240’.

The generous support over the last eleven races have allowed us to complete major field upgrades so our course will be finishing on the upgraded pitch.  The field has been leveled and crowned, a watering system installed and new grass.  We have added team shelters, lighting training walls, stairs and a new concessions building. Your support will allow the program to continue moving forward to bring the facilities up to a standard on par with our guests and competitors.
