Races

The 10k and 5k will take place on the 8 Mile Creek Trail in Paragould, Arkansas. Returning in 2026 is the FASTEST KID IN TOWN RACE Sponsored by PMU with the Fastest Internet in Town.  All registrations before May 1st will receive a FREE Loose Caboose Festival T-Shirt! *Please note the 8 Mile Creek Trail Expansion will be complete by race day and starting points are new and improved! Half Marathon: Race begins at Bland Park at 7am.  10K: Race begins at Bland Park at 8am and returns to same point. 5K: Race begins at Bland Park at 8am and ends at Harmon Park. A shuttle will leave from the 5k finish line from 9am to 10am to take 5k Racers back to Bland Park. Fastest Kid In Town Race: Race begins at 9:30 am inside the festival grounds near Champions Gymnastics.  Age Divisions:4 and under5-6 years7-8 years9-10 year11-14 All proceed from the race will benefit the Paragould Chamber Foundation and the Greene County Future Fund. The races are a collaboration between the two entities.

The 6th annual Running on the Ridge welcomes new and returning participants! We look forward to another great race with options of a 5K, 10K, 1 mile dog jog/fun run and 10K ruck! The 5K & 10K runs and 10K ruck course routes will be through downtown Paragould & on a portion of the 8 Mile Creek Trail with the start and finish at the Greene County Fairgrounds. The dog jog will be around the Greene County Fairgrounds. This year’s race will benefit the Henry Wrinkles Foundation. All participants will receive a FREE ticket to Saturday night’s Rodeo on the Ridge!All participants will receive a finisher prize & those registered BEFORE May 10th will be guaranteed a t-shirt.Packet pick-up will be Friday, May 29th from 5pm-7pm at Harmon Park in Paragould. Race timing will be provided by Stearns Race Timing for the 5K and 10K racers.All dogs must be on a leash at all times and cleaned up after.All racers under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.    🏃&#x

NEA has been missing a 4th of July race for years now.   In this country we have Freedom, we have freedom to Run and we have the freedom to run a July 4th race and finish with pride.  We will be hosting the Freedom Finishers 5K at Paragould's Rotary Park on July 4th starting at 7:30AM.  The course will be an out and back on the 8 mile ditch trail.  Entry fee is $30 for non-military members 16 and older. Those not old enough to drive yet are discounted to $15. Service members (Military, Police, and Fire) can use coupon code "Military" to get $10 off the entry fee. Please have your military ID available at check-in on race morning to receive your bib. T-shirt cutoff is 6/22 so please register early to insure you get one. Extras are first come, first serve until we run out. Come out and enjoy the run and create a new tradition. Runners, Walkers, Strollers and 4-legged friends are all welcome to participate.

Kick off Independence Day with a few miles, a good time, and a finishers medal that's going to be an awesome addition to your wall! The race takes place at the Paragould Community Center and consists of 4 one-mile loops, at the end of each loop you get a beaded necklace. End of Lap 1: Red End of Lap 2: White End of Lap 3: Blue End of Lap 4: Finishers Medal! Stick around for grilled hot dogs and awards after the race!

Get ready for the second annual PARAGHOUL 5K/10K on October 25th 2024 at 8:00 am in beautiful downtown Paragould, Arkansas! Whether you're back for year two or it's your first time we promise you a race you won't want to miss! Runners will start in downtown Paragould and hit the beautiful (and paved!) 8 Mile Creek Trail for the 5k and 10k races and cross the finish line to get a must have medal that's even bigger and better than last years! The race will start and finish in downtown with a course that is perfect for setting a new PR, a nice pace run, or even a brisk fall stroll. Runners can a race full of energy and fun with medals for all finishers and EVEN MORE AGE GROUP AWARDS! And of course the 2nd annual costume contest is back! Runners who break out their spooky or fun side and run in the best costume have a chance to take home AMAZING 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes! Best of all entry into the race will guarantee you get your hands on the best swag bag in NEA! And

The Creek Trail Creek Crusher is back for 2026! The Crusher has 3 races designed to test your endurance and will. 6, 12, and 24 hour races will begin at 8:00 am on November 15th at Rotary Park in Paragould, AR. The race route begins at Rotary Park and proceeds to the 8 Mile Creek Trail, the entire route is completely paved with no street crossings. All Races will be last participant standing events, meaning if a race has no participants complete the entire time allotted for their race, once only one participant remains the race ends, and the last participant standing is declared the winner. If multiple participants reach the final cycle in their respective race the first to complete the cycle will be declared the winner.  Runners will be required to complete a 4.167 mile out and back cycle within 59 minutes and 59 seconds. A new cycle starts at half past every hour. Early and late starts are not permitted. If a runner has not returned from the previous cycle or is not at the start line
