The Freeze Your Buns Winter 5K is a fun way to get everyone outside and enjoying the crisp winter air.  With a relatively flat and low traffic course, runners of all ages and abilities can run and accomplish a winter 5K.  With our no frills approach, supportive volunteers, and inexpensive entry point, hundreds of runners each year get to enjoy winter running.

This 9 week program will bring you from walking to running, and then from running to completing a 5K. It will consist of 3 workouts per week with an in-person coaching session on Wednesday nights.  The program is managed by long-time Gate City Striders, Phil Petschek and Isaac Horn, and expertly instructed by other Striders staff and volunteers.  Program benefits include...... Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.  Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. Our Ribbon Run|Walk 5K is held in September to help raise money to support the  St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center.    This race features a beautiful trail course along the trails of Mine Falls.  The event is open to all ages, so bring a friend, your family, your dog, or your colleagues and start the day with us!

The Novemberfest Race is a festive 4-mile race through beautiful Mine Falls Park followed by a post-race party and raffle held at Martha's Exchange Restaurant & Brewery.  Race day registration and number pick-up is held at Martha’s Exchange at 185 Main St. in Nashua from 9:30am until 11:00am on Sunday 11/23/2025. The race starts promptly at 11:33 am. The start finish area is near the Pine Street Extension Entrance into Mine Falls Park about 200 yards west of the Millyard Smokestack.   All entrants are eligible for our Children's Home raffle where you are likely to win a prize of significant value.
