Lace up your shoes and join Barnabas Vision and Together as One for the inaugural Thankful Steps 5K Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 14, 2026, in Murfreesboro! Thankful Steps is more than just a race—it’s an opportunity to run together, encourage one another, and give back to families in our community. Proceeds from the race will be split between Barnabas Vision and Together as One to support their missions of serving and uplifting families. Whether you’re an avid runner, a casual walker, pushing a stroller, or bringing the whole family, there’s a place for you at Thankful Steps! Come ready for a fun and lighthearted morning celebrating all we have to be thankful for. As part of the race, participants will have the opportunity to share what they’re thankful for, and we’ll have a few fun surprises along the way!

Our mission is to bring glory to God by raising funds for charitable purposes and to provide our community a well-organized Thanksgiving Day family event – a 4-mile walk/run through historic Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We have added two new events for 2026. The first event is an untimed, 2K walk, and participants will receive a race shirt and a medal. The second event is the Borodash Sleep-In Superstar, where the participant will receive a race shirt for supporting Borodash while sleeping in. This year's race is an in-person event. The Borodash 4-mile race starts at 8:00 a.m. and the 2K walk will start at 8:15 am on Thanksgiving Day. Pick up your packets on November 25th (Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at North Boulevard Church of Christ (East Campus).

Start the New Year off on the right foot! Murfreesboro's New Year's Day 5k is a family-friendly event. This Better Boro Project sanctioned event will be electronically-timed, and every finisher will receive a medal. There are awards for overall winners as well as age group winners in the male and female categories. REGISTRATION$30 per person, includes a festive long sleeve t-shirt    (***REGISTER by DEC 8 to guarantee your shirt size...shirts have to be ordered, printed and delivered.) PACKET PICKUPAvoid the lines on race day! You will receive your race bib number with safety pins and your t-shirt in your packet.  You may send a friend or relative to pick up your packet; they must have a note or text from you giving them permission.
