National Crime Victims' Rights Hero 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk

The Isabella County Prosecuting Attorney's Office-Victim Rights Program is hosting a hero 5K fun run/ 1 mile walk to commemorate National Crime Victim's Rights Week.  Make it a SUPER day and bring your family, capes and smiles encouraged. Dress up as your favorite super hero costume for this event! If you do not have a costume, no problem. We will have masks and capes available for all! The event will take place at Island Park, Mt. Pleasant, MI.  Join us for a fun 5k course that will take participants through our beautiful downtown park system or lace up for a 1 mile walk along the scenic route surrounding Island Park. The purpose of this family friendly 5k fun run/ 1 mile walk is to bring together our community’s resources and showcase how we work together to raise awareness for victims of crime in our area. By coming together, we hope to create a more inclusive field so that every victim has the access to services and the support they need. They are the true heroes!    Agenda

Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Mount Pleasant, SC

What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, please visit t2t.org. This will be the first year for Tunnel to Towers to host an event in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.  We are very excited to bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.  How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?This is a 5K (approximately 3.1 miles) to walk or run event. Lowcountry Splash

Where: Charleston, South Carolina. When: Annually, in May or June. (Based upon the tides). Distance: 2.4 Mile Open Water Swim along the Mount Pleasant shoreline or 6 Mile Open Water Swim starting at Daniel Island, crossing the Wando River and proceeding down the 2.4 Mile course. Participants: 2018 Stats = 196 in the 5 Mile, 401 in the 2.4 mile. Age ranges from 10 years old to 82. Start & Finish: Wet start at Hobcaw Yacht Club for the 2.4 mile Splash and wet start under the Wando Bridge on Daniel Island for the 6 mile Splash, followed by a wet finish at the Charleston Harbor Marina in front of the USS Yorktown for both Splashes. Tides: Swimming with an outgoing tide. Water Temp: 72-78 ℉. The Lowcountry Splash is South Carolina's premier open water swim. The Splash began with the purpose of creating a unique open water swimming event in the Charleston area. MPRD Youth & Junior Triathlon

June 28, 2026 - TOMPS Youth & Junior Triathlon Race, Age 8-17yo Back for 2026 with our newly renovated pool facility! The Town of Mount Pleasant invites you to our youth/junior triathlon at Park West Recreation Center. Registered athletes, ages 8-17yo, will swim serpentine style in our 6-lane, indoor swim facility; cycle on adjacent coned-off roads surrounding the complex; and run on our tree-lined paved paths to an exhilarating track lap finish! This is an excellent opportunity for youth athletes of all abilities to experience multisport on a safe, well-monitored course. Awards will be given to the top male and top female in each age group. Athletes will compete based on the age they will be on 12/31/2026. Firecracker 4 Mile / 12th Annual / Charleston

The 12th Annual Firecracker 4 Miler will once again be held at the beautiful Laurel Hill County Park in Mount Pleasant South Carolina on July 4th, 2025!    Past years events have been a blast, and this year’s event will be even better! So come on out and celebrate your independence by running down the shaded trails of Laurel Hill County Park and after the race enjoying music, hotdogs, and cold beverage with all your friends and family. 17th Annual Central Michigan HIV/AIDS 5k

Join the Central Michigan District Health Department at the 17th Annual HIV/AIDS 5k Run/Walk through Island Park in Mt. Pleasant Michigan! 100% of the proceeds from the event will help those living with HIV/AIDS within the Central Michigan community and support programs that provide solutions for stopping the spread of the virus. The HIV/AIDS Walk is a time for awareness and remembrance. There is no cure for HIV/AIDS and the crisis is not over.
